1) If you're a U.S. passenger, they have this policy of keeping your passport until the end of your trip (why not just make a copy) which is a recipe for disaster for some U.S. passenger in the future.

It is different from American cruising but, I got use to the environment being a bit on the cold side, I don't mean temperature wise but the coldness of the staff. just returned from south american cruise and was very very disappointed.We have cruised multiple times and have not seen the poor quality of ship and most of managerial staff.
