No Air nor customer service on Costa Fortuna

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Costa Fortuna

I appreciate the reviews on Cruise Critic and let them guide my decisions for a new cruise booking. The Costa Fortuna cruise on January 10th was more than disappointing. It was extremely uncomfortable for passengers. I did not get Air in my cabin for 2-days (on level one) and it took 4 attempts to get it corrected and then very little air was forthcoming for the rest of the cruise. After many ...

As my title says, my wife and I went on this cruise because I won a contest. I would have never picked Costa on our own. I have met no one on any of the 15 cruises I have gone on that has sailed on Costa, which to me says a lot. Embarkation - this was one of the best parts of the cruise. This was the first and last line that went quickly. We were on the ship within 15 minutes of arrival. ...

Hi...The only reason why the cruise was interesting is that you get the chance to visit many Easter Caribbean Islands: Puerto Rico(one afternoon only), Turks and Caicos (one afternoon only), Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic ( one day at the beach only , not more), The Virgin Islands (one of the best because of the activities offered in the island).Make sure you check the time you have to ...

First impressions will last a lifetime. We were not thrilled the moment we walked onboard the Fortuna. Our experience was not good. Luckily we went with 3 other couples so we had great company! We made the most of our cruise and had a good time. But we will never sail with Costa again, even if we are given a free trip with Costa. Don't bother wasting your money! Save it and choice another cruise ...

Boarding was very quick and easy. Rooms were always clean. The food left a lot to be desired. Most of the time it was over or under cooked dining room waiters were very slow and meals were mixed up not what was ordered or not served at all. Food at the buffet was worse. The same bland food every night.Another problem was special groups the pools lounges and dance floors were closed to the public ...

I unfortunately have to start my review out by saying our Costa Fortuna cruise was lacking in so many ways that it was really the only bad cruise out of 11 cruises that I have been on. To begin with embarkation was at best a Joke. Although we arrived early at the port approximately 11:00, by the time Costa started checking everyone in they had 2 people doing this procedure. The process was taking ...

Embarking was very smooth and easy. After that it was down hill. All meals from Sunday through Wednesday were served room temp at best. First hot meal was Thursday evening. We even tried the buffet hoping food would be hot but no luck. A lot of pasta was available at each meal with meat offerings slim. Water, coffee and tea were the only beverages available with meals. There was no lemonade or ...
