Beautiful ship but the additional costs are exorbitant and leave a bad taste
"Everything was clean; and on the floor service staff was friendly and hardworking, we ended up feeling sorry for them because of the long hours they work with no days off.Restaurants and the food was relatively good and buffet offered a lot of options so no complaints there...."Read More

Beautiful ship but the additional costs are exorbitant and leave a bad taste

As a first time cruiser from South Africa, our family did the European cruise which was absolutely amazing from the ports we stopped at and being on the ship as a family. We enjoyed our time together although we were shocked at all the additional service fees charged from mandatory daily service fees (on top of an all inclusive package) as well as purchasing anything onboard e.g. a coke is ...

We are from the UK and after previous cruises on Princess Royal Carribean NCL Carnival we were worried about the sailing we had booked on the Costa Facinosa from previous reviews we had read we got a great deal for £399 each in an inside cabin for the South America Transatlantic cruise back to Europe . We had no need to worry at all the ship was one of the best we have sailed on she is pure ...

I chose this cruise because I thought Brazil would be exciting. It was until we got to the Fasinosa. Then everything went wrong. There are too many people for the common areas and too few staff to control them. The rules are good but no one to carry them out. Therefore there are children running riot in the theatre at night and in the restaurants at mealtimes. The hygiene rules are not carried ...

We have done 5 cruises with Costa this was the worst.food was bland no water at table the waitress was the best thing about it.the cabin was very noisy as we were at the front asked to change but said ship was full so several days didn't get much sleep.cabin was kept clean but the cabin boy was not very helpful.days at sea were boring as not much entertainment put on.there were only 50 or so ...

A wonderful holiday,on the most beautiful ship I have travelled on.Immaculate and spotlessly clean, art works and sculptures to admire, and clever design. Our cabin was an ordinary outside, but so spacious and well equiped, and great cabin steward. Dining in the buffets, very good ,lots of choices, restaurants excellent,to be born in mind the number of people includind crew,to be catered for,I really ...

We booked this cruise because of its destinations and reasonable price. Having been on Costa before on several occasions, we were aware of the potential problem with few english speaking passengers but this did not detract from our enjoyment. We travelled as a group of 8 younger pensioners into dancing and activities, all of which were excellent. Even the six days at sea from Tenerife to ...

We have cruised many times before with various companies, including once Costa. We said we would never cruise with Costa again but we were attracted by the intinery so decided to give it another try. What a mistake!! So never again!!!! First impressions were of a beautiful ship which it was to a certain extent, unfortunately some areas were badly planned. The seating in the theatre downstairs was all ...

If you are considering a cruise please please do not choose Costa ,I have just returned from the worst cruise ever on the Fascinosa...English speaking nations are just ignored...Its a waste of time complaining ,it goes in one ear and out of the other...The food was fine ,so was the cabin staff and the waiters in the dining room but that was it ..The Shop staff were rude and did not want to ...

Santos, Brazil to Venice Excellent Value Cruise

We have recently returned from a transatlantic Cruise on the Costa Fascinosa and completely disagree with the 2 previous reviews. What do people expect for approx £20 per night full board ( that is all it cost when taking off the air fares and transfers). We don't go on a cruise to sit in the cabin to watch television so the lack of English channels was not a problem, the staff on the ship were ...

The only thing I will agree with about the previous 2 reviews is the 11 dollars per day service charge, it should be up to the individual to tip as they see fit, apart from that I think their reviews very unfair. The cruise itself taking of the airfare and transfers worked out about 20 pppd full board and the use of the facilities of a beautiful ship. The staff were very polite and obliging and ...
