Costa Mediterranea April 2016, Including Drink Prices and Package Info
"Hi, We are an English couple, 60 years of age who have just completed our first Costa cruise. This was on Costa Mediterranea, 7 days down the Dalmatian coast in late April 2016. To put our comments in context I..."Read More

It is different from American cruising but, I got use to the environment being a bit on the cold side, I don't mean temperature wise but the coldness of the staff. Only the room attendants would automatically speak to you. Officer's would walk right past and not look at or acknowledge you. It seemed that they were scared you might ask them something and they really didn't want to be bothered. ...

We chose this cruise at the last minute for a New Years Cruise, our first of this nature. The ship is beautiful, the cabin spacious, entertainment and activities are above average for a cruise of 7 days. BUT, this ship is really BEAUTIFUL, Murano glass, marble floors and highly polished interiors make the Luminosa a spectacular ship. We had booked this cruise, allowing the cruise line to ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted a short year end cruise. It was very convenient for us as it sailed from Buenos Aires to Rio and we could us the ship as a hotel in Rio for the night of December 30th to December 31st, 2019. The ship is nice like any Costa ship made by Fincantieri. We embarked in Buenos Aires after a two days stay in this amazing city. Embarkation procedures were quick ...

we chose as it was going to the ports we wanted to see in the Caribbean . unfortunately some of the staff need more experience in dealing with customers. The hospitality staff provided poor service and were quite dismissive. One of our party had damaged their knee on the way to the cruise so was unable to go in the excursions, told that they could only get a refund if they had a note from the ...

This was a slow way to return to S. America and the ports made this a good choice. The ship was fairly full with guests from Spain, Italy, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Holland, France, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, UK, USA and others. Embarkation was slow in Savona, took us two and a half hours to get onboard. The food was Italian as expected with some unusual options such as pasta with squid, ...

I took notes so I would be more objective. Some of the online criticism I read wasn’t a problem for us. For example, the Jacuzzi’s size, food, and service were good. The crew spoke English with the usual assortment of accents. Costa was responsive to complaints. The pool music was obnoxious and very loud. I asked the desk, “What age are you targeting?” The next day, the volume was lower and the ...

Review Summary The question is...Would I recommend taking a Baltic Cruise on Costa Pacifica? I will reluctantly say “Yes”. The Cruise Ship is well worth the money spent. The destinations are absolutely exquisite. The only hesitation I have is the food as it was terrible. Embarkation Getting to the Port in Kiel Germany was very easy. The Cruise Terminal is ~1 mile from the Kiel Train ...
