The pool areas are nice, and have retractable roofs in case it rains. It does get a bit hot when the roof is extended.

The Caribbean sunsets were some of the best parts of this cruise. Especially if you got to see them from the top decks while leaving port.

just returned from south american cruise and was very very disappointed. We have cruised multiple times and have not seen the poor quality of ship and most of managerial staff. service was terrible. They DO NOT supply bar of soap, have one outlet in mini suite, give you two skimpy towels and you cannot reach room service. Only soap available is shower soap I had a mini suite with no assigned ...

Not as good as other Costa Cruises ships

We chose this cruise because we wanted a short year end cruise. It was very convenient for us as it sailed from Buenos Aires to Rio and we could us the ship as a hotel in Rio for the night of December 30th to December 31st, 2019. The ship is nice like any Costa ship made by Fincantieri. We embarked in Buenos Aires after a two days stay in this amazing city. Embarkation procedures were quick ...

Much better than expected

Having read some of the previous reviews, we were a bit worried about taking this cruise. However, overall it warrants the four stars I have given it. The service throughout the ship was mostly very good, which was good as you cannot remove the service charge of 10 Euros per person a day on any Costa ship. The ship was in a pretty good condition, but it is starting to show a few signs of ...

This was a slow way to return to S. America and the ports made this a good choice. The ship was fairly full with guests from Spain, Italy, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Holland, France, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, UK, USA and others. Embarkation was slow in Savona, took us two and a half hours to get onboard. The food was Italian as expected with some unusual options such as pasta with squid, ...

Ship not prepared for many sea days

This is an 8 day cruise with three ( 2 consecutive ) sea days. I don't know why the crew insisted on keeping the lido pool roof closed during all sea days (despite of sunshine and 27oC) creating an awful combination of food smell + pool chlorine + workout sweat, and isolating the others decks (10 and 11) from all the pool parties and contests. Nobody in our party of 22 wanted to go ...

During the dates of 20-28 January 2012, I had a perfect experience aboard the Carnival Dream, for a 7-day Western Caribbean Cruise. Everything was spot-on, to include: dining, public rooms, the cabin, entertainment, value for money, and the service. I attempted to replicate this experience for my young-adult daughter’s college graduation present. I took leave from the Army and my daughter took ...

Terribly bad food on a 2 stars cruise

HI! I would like to tell you about my last experience on the Costa Pacifica, we sailed on December 28th 2016 and got back on January 5th 2017. I travel a lot on cruises, and this was the worst cruise ever! From the beginning they are not organized, you have to wait hours everywhere. The buffet is the worst, bad food, poorly served, few amount of it at the Important hours so they ran out of it ...

We took our first Costa cruise on March 2, 2016 on the Pacifica - we chose it partly because of the itinerary as it was repositioning from Brazil to Italy, and also because the price was very reasonable. Pros - ship is lovely with beautiful decor, large wide hallways and elevator banks. We had an ocean view and an inside room which were both quite spacious. Because of the language ...

We chose this cruise because we had just spent 8 days cruising the amazon river, we thought this would be an ideal way to return home without the long flight, My husband and I have cruised with a number of cruise companies including Costa although this was some years ago and was excellent then( it was the first cruise we had ever done). I have to say the standard now is extremely poor, regretably ...

Pre-cruise started off to a weird start - no prompting from Costa to fill out anything for the cruise, no communications at all. Found their web site to be very cumbersome and non-informative. We experienced Quick embarking (showed up just prior to leaving port), no room card give and no indication of where and when we would receive this. Once on the ship we headed to our rooms and there ...
