We did the 7 Night Cruise June 2019
Started at Genoa and did France Spain and back to Italy on the Costa Fortuna.
Rooms were great like most cruise ships, clean and always well looked after by our stewart.
The food was amazing in our eyes , fresh pasta and always nice and hot
if your wanting that little extra , the Dinners and Breakfasts in the diffrenet rooms around the ship were ...
We Booked the Costa Fortuna, as we had had such a good cruise on the Costa Pacifica. We had a Large cabin with broken shower, broken heating system and a Leaking tap on sink, Damaged shower curtain, hence water on the floor and the Tv control did not function. Not a good start.
We found the food was of poor quality and was always served warm or cold, never a hot meal in a week. Poor selection ...
As a third time cruiser on other lines many years ago- but a friend was taking me I was trying to save them money. What a horrible mistake choosing this old tugboat. From beginning to end there were so many things wrong. We got an inside cabin - actually not a problem in itself. The cabin crew were wonderful and attentive. The cabin was fine. The staff at the Hospitality desk were ...
We cruised with Costa for the first time in 2018, on the Diadema. It was excellent, so we booked again on the Fortuna.
All in all, it was a good cruise, but I felt not as good an experience as the Diadema.
The ship is smaller for a start, and I missed the numerous bars and extra expanse of the Diadema.
The staff were in the large part nice and friendly with a few exceptions. Those who ...
The cruise per se was O.K. but did not exceed expectations. After much encouragement from friends, who often go on cruises, we decided to try one out. We wanted a small cruise so we drove to Savona and got on the Costa Fortuna, which is a large boat. Impressed in the beginning we later realized that big size is not an advantage. There were too many people and from all nationalities: orientals, ...
I have never encountered such an ineffective customer service (and I mean the customer desk and e-mail customer service, the other staff at the ship was ok). We were 9 in our party and had an altogether good time at the ship based on our own company, the excellent dinners and the party-crew. On the bad side were: It was really cheap of costa to charge for water and coffee and tea were only free at ...
In an attempt to keep this brief I'll list good and bad points from our first ever cruise. We are a married couple in our 50s.
Good:
Service
Facilities
Entertainment variety
Cadiz , Valencia and Lisbon
Inside Cabin was adequate and I really can't see the argument for upgrading to outside or balcony given the short time we actually spent in the cabin.
Steward Uri was ...
Having just returned to Dover from Savona on our latest cruise my wife and I found that the noise from the groups playing in the main entertainment area' s was to loud also the atrium bar was also rather loud from the male pianist/singer, their is no where on the ship to listen to quiet music whilst enjoying an after dinner drink.
The service in the restaurants was taking two hour's or more to ...
We have not travelled on the Costa line for 3 years and the change was beyond belief. No carafe water was served in the dining room at any time. Bottled water was available, of course, at a cost and including a service charge. Tea and coffee were available at breakfast, but not at lunch or dinner, unless one was prepared to pay for specialist drinks.
The buffet closed at 5 p.m. for everything ...
