We chose the cruise for the destinations which we had not been to previously. The embarkation in Valencia was a fiasco and no assistance when entering the ship from Costa staff. My first cruise was only a good month ago with the MSC Fantasia so I don't have much to compare with. We booked the cruise on Costa Favolosa because it was pretty cheap and we had a good experience on MSC. We opted for the cheapest cabin without balcony. A few days before departure we got notice that they improved us to a balcony cabin without extra cost. Very nice!

There was no tea or coffee available after breakfast for the remainder of the day accept on sea days when tea and coffee was available late afternoon.
We had to purchase tea or coffee outside those times. When purchasing anything there was a 15% surcharge on top of the cost of the item.
There was a 20 euro per person per day gratuity surcharge.

When travel with Costa you are treated like cattle that is there only for them to milk money out of you without showing you any respect.
What about informing you att 22 in the evening that you must leave the cabin att 8 in the morning for the only reason that they are saving on personnel costs.
