A cheap, cheerful but interesting itinerary, spoiled by an unpleasant disembarkation and offhand customer service.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Favolosa

I hadn't cruised with Costa before, but with 5 other lines. The itinerary (Spain to Brazil) interested me as a biologist and natural history photographer, and the price was very reasonable, probably because the relocation nature and the lack of port visits meant the ship was (according to the crew) about half empty. My double cabin, for one person and no single supplement, was outstanding value ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Toscana

We are experienced cruisers, first, we worked for Celebrity Cruises for over 5,5 years, and then we took cruises with several American companies, and for the first time decided to go with the European cruise line. It was ok, but I wasn't impressed I should say. The feeling was that the whole ship was designed just to make money and not for the guests to enjoy the cruise. The buffet area is so ...

Costa toscana TRICKS YOU with the cabin they show you on the booking and what you actually get on the boat

After complaining several times at reception that the cabin assigned did not comply with the characteristics contracted as being 3 adults neither the space nor the type of beds was correct, apart from not corresponding to the photos which are provided by themselves, and in the event that I had seen that picture of cabin logically I would not have hired it. The response from reception was that the ...

Nice ship, very bad service

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Toscana

I chose the crusie because MSC cancelled their cruise in similar dates. I thought that what matters the most is the ship. Unfortunately I was very wrong. MSC quality in comparison to Costa is like Mercedes to Dacia. Costa Toscana is a nice ship, new clean with many useful facilities. But all pros ends here. Service is slow, food is awful ( I couldn't believe that no vegetables are ...

Never again Costa, after 10 Costa cruises the measure is now full. We were not the only ones, heard several people say: never again Costa. What a disappointment: - Embarkation: 6 hours in the heat, no information what was going on, finally your turn, but sent back for mandatory Corona test (no mention at booking or at the entrance for check-in), again to the counter and then again with ...

If you are English speaking and want to take shore excursions don't book a cruise in Europe with Costa, Due to the lack of Numbers of English-speaking passengers there are very few excursions that are available, but you don't know that until you are on board and in most cases, you are advised a day or two before. The tours that you may be able to go on are with a guide who speaks at least 2 ...

We boarded the ship in Barcelona and our immediate thought was that the ship was stunning. The staff were excellent and our restaurant waiter Chi was great. Food was of a very high standard in our assigned restaurant. The buffet restaurant, while it had lots of choice, was a revelation.... Lots of queues, people pushing and shoving, over crowded and really not a pleasant experience most of the ...

Not my favorite cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Diadema

Our friend selected this cruise for his first cruise and first trip to Europe. We are faithful Celebrity cruisers so I use that cruise line as my baseline. The price of this cruise included the cruise cost, airfare, and hotels on arrival day and day of disembarkation. The Diadema is a fairly new ship that accommodates about 5000 people. People are able to embark and disembark at any of the ports, ...

Our 2nd Costa Cruise, but had its good and bad

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Fortuna

We cruised with Costa for the first time in 2018, on the Diadema. It was excellent, so we booked again on the Fortuna. All in all, it was a good cruise, but I felt not as good an experience as the Diadema. The ship is smaller for a start, and I missed the numerous bars and extra expanse of the Diadema. The staff were in the large part nice and friendly with a few exceptions. Those who ...

We chose this cruise because the time and cost was right for us and the ports visited appealed to us. The time spent in each port seemed reasonable also. We are American and we did know the experience would be different for us on an Italian ship...previously all our cruises have been on Carnival. (The first day as soon as we got on the ship and went to the buffet, a couple sat down next to us at ...
