Not exciting

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Diadema

The check in process was very tedious but once we arrived at our suite I was surprised to see it was much smaller than expected. Balcony was cramped also. Barely enough room for 2 seats. Staff were a mixed bag of emotions to be honest. Some very happy, others seemed like they had enough. Food was good. Breakfast buffet was average but the ala carte was much better. Facilities seemed rather ...

The crew on the hospitality area aren’t friendly. Their smiles are very expensive. I am reluctant to fall in line as if I am about to be punished for a mistake i have done. The Filipino waiters are so sympathetic on Ristorante Florante. They are the ones who are ready to help. Our cabin in-charge is also sympathetic and very smiling. It perked our day whenever we met him everyday on the ...

Thoughts of an American on an Italian cruise line

My wife and I chose to cruise on Costa knowing full well that they are an Italian line that does not cater to English speakers because we wanted to have a more European experience. We embarked in Barcelona directly from the airport after an approximately hour drive around the city while out transfer company (Eros Bus) dropped off other passengers who were not going to the port. Barcelona is a ...

Came for the itinerary.

6 ports in 10 days plus a rare opportunity to go to an Arab country. The itinerary was fantastic and the ports themselves met my expectations. As for the ship, well, that also met my rather low expectations. I had cruised once when I was much younger and didn't really enjoy the experience of being trapped on a boat with people with questionable hygiene and d-list entertainers (hey, I've lived ...

I choose this cruise for the visit to Naples. I was disappointed with the food. too me the buffet was very blan and the dinners where not anything special. If the cooking was Italian at it´s best then I would query this. The organization was lacking on the cruise. The cabin was very reasonable. I thought that the decore of the Ship was very over powering and heavy making you feel very ...

Firstly i wish to draw attention for other travellers to what happened to us: It clearly states on our invoice to pay by bank transfer, we were told initially when to do so which we did, however Costa subsequently made a deduction for the same amount of 3000 euros from the original card which we had used to make the deposit 12 months earlier, despite my saying not to use this card again. I ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Diadema

I was looking for a solo cruise and Costa were the only company offering an affordable balcony cabin for single travellers. I have been on Disney Magic, RCL Allure and Carnival Vista in recent years and whilst Costa Diadema doesnt have all the bells and whistles the other cruise lines have, I found it to be an enjoyable cruise overall and would recommend it to single travellers. The ...

Having just returned, and travelled with Costa before a few years ago which was superb we decided to use them again, what a change and for the worse. Firstly, embarkembartion once on the ship was a nightmare, the crew had no idea where to direct the passengers to their cabins, I found the language a big barrier and I ended up on the ninth floor thinking it was my cabin but in actual fact I was ...

This was my first Costa cruise. It was my honeymoon and because of that we splurged for a mini-suite. This gave us certain benefits such as first boarding group and first disembarkation group, a fruit basket refilled everyday and a bottle of sparkling wine. We also had a "water package" which gave us water at dinner although since we bought the drink package we would have had the water ...
