The ship itself and the staff were great. Accomodation was good. Entertainment other than the 2 shows was very poor. The game shows and karaoke and especially the ventriloquist were infantile.
The stops at Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan were just opportunities for the cruise line to sell souvenirs from their own stores. Some of the tours were very good.

Overall, we really enjoyed the cruise, but the disappointment in all of Princess's cutbacks in service left a bad taste. Chose because of itinerary. Ship needs to be refurbished, food was not up to Princess standards and neither was the service. Loved the ports, but would cruise on a newer ship. Entertainment poor except for comic one night.

Had the time of my life. Great Ship and polite crew. Went Club Class. Food was great and the scenery in the Fjords was breath taking.
One small not so minor thing was the "at sea internet". It only worked about 10 percent of the time with a connection speed of 25K. Dial up would have been faster.

Book with Princess because I thought Princess was a step up from Carnival and they'd been cruising Alaska for 50 years. Plus I wanted to get close to Hubbard Glacier and the glaciers in Glacier Bay. Ship was 'ok' nothing special or outstanding. In fact we thought it was all looking very old and tired and in desperate need of a major make-over.
