This is one cruise you want a balcony for, so you can see the locks going through the canal. If you don't care about that, then just get a window. The cabin was fine, beds were comfortable. We had to learn how to use the shower curtain without getting water all over the bathroom. That took some skill. The shampoo stripped a lot of color out of my hair. Read Less

Our room was located on the Emerald deck near the front of the ship. The deck was very convenient. I think it was the only one where you could get to any deck without switching elevators. Our cabin was a deluxe outside cabin and was the size of a balcony cabin with the balcony area inside. We had a large desk and a loveseat in addition to the usual desk and 2 chairs. Read Less
