Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand. The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal. Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least. More about this later. The ...

Our sailing embarked in Copenhagen. From there we sailed for 10 nights, visiting Southampton, Ferrol, Lisbon, Cadiz, Malaga and Barcelona, where we disembarked. About Us: I'm 60 and my girlfriend is in her 50s. We have sailed on MSC, Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Pullmantur/Croissieres de France, Princess and Royal Caribbean. Value: I thought the cruise was fairly priced and we received ...

We chose the MSC Poesia as the Itinerary and price influenced us. Copenhagen to Genoa in September 2019. Aurea Balcony Suite, inclusive Drinks Package,(the old one as we booked before the new drinks package took over) We arrived at Copenhagen Terminal at 10.30am, they said we could board at 11.30am and a large Group of tourists decided to rush first, not lining up correctly, it was very ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

While we still like Oceania there were a number of areas that fell short of our expectations on this past cruise. Food – Over all we found the food on this trip was not as good as our prior two trips on Marina and Riviera. The Bouillabaisse in Jacques was not good at all.. No mussels, no clams, no fennel (I don’t think) and no broth. It was pasty, more like a sauce that I would expect in a ...

We have been on Oceania twice prior and because 3 nights in St Petersburg, 14 days and the Baltic was on our bucket list. Every place we had not been to and that was really appealing. We had travelled with Oceania twice prior and relatively positive experiences. The staff, whether, food, drinks, entertainment or cabin staff are excellent and very accommodating. The negatives, - Showers ...

This is my 1st true cruise (other than day cruises to the Bahamas). I was with well-seasoned cruisers. My experience was better than theirs beciase I had nothing to compare it to. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: The ship is lovely. It is not a huge ship but large enough. The staff was wonderful. We were especially grateful to our waiters, Wira and Eduardo, our maitre 'd, O'Neill, and ...

We chose this cruise as it was leaving at the time we wanted and was going to some interesting destinations. As it was our first cruise we weren't sure what to expect. Overall we enjoyed ourselves....we found the food good to very good, staff very friendly, accommodation more than adequate and very much enjoyed our balcony view. We were lucky that we had great weather and calm seas. The ...

We chose this cruise because the ports were interesting and places we had never visited. We have sailed with NCL several times and basically knew what to expect on board ship. The ports were very interesting so we were not disappointed. We usually plan shore excursions with small groups we meet through Cruise Critic which worked very well on this cruise. NCL delivers a middle of the road ...

Booked through RCI. This was a first time cruise and did no know what to expect. However it was a very good experience and will undertake another cruise in the future. Staff were well presented and polite and friendly. The ship was very clean as was the cabin, Sheldon (Steward) from St Lucia was very good. The dining facilities in the Aqua and Versaille were very good, the waiters and ...

Cruise: Very good itinerary - repositioning from Copenhagen to Venice with stops in Amsterdam, Brugge, Le Havre (Normandy), Malaga, Cartagena, Malta, Split. Staff: We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The only exception was trying to get info on doing things on your own and the overall lack of knowledge of Cartagena. Food: Food was excellent, but lobster is no longer served ...
