We will never cruise with Princess Cruises again. We booked the airfare through Princess Air, with all hopes that things would go well. Just the opposite occurred. Our initial flight to O'Hare (where the flight to Copenhagen originated) was delayed and we received zero assistance from Princess Air or anyone else connected to Princess Cruises. Many, many phone calls were made to no avail (the ...

I have had communication with three different SilverSea travel advisors —all of whom promised to follow up and refund a portion of our costs to compensate for a terrible cruise experience. None of them did so I am taking this to the public forum in the hopes it dissuades others from booking on a cruise line that doesn’t give a fig about its clientele. This was our 2nd and last time on SilverSea. ...

Terrible lines, noise and crowds.

Review for Norwegian Getaway to Transatlantic

The lines, noise and crowds were terrible. For example, the organization of the immigration clearance in Miami was terrible and unforgivable. We shuffled in line for an hour and a half, for no reason, to get to the immigration desk. I calculated about 400 people in the queue in the main bay alone. Why, when they were only processing about five people per minute? Why run a line from the ...

NCL DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS PASSENGERS

Review for Norwegian Getaway to Transatlantic

It was obvious that NCL management cares only about how much money they can make. For example, the ship stopped in Miami for only a few hours and took on fuel and provisions there. Every passenger had to go through Customs and Immigration and the line took a minimum of three hours to get off and back on. Then they blamed Customs for the delay when the stop was obviously only to benefit the ...

Never again - following the Danforth family review

First, read the Danforth family review. No need for me to repeat everything there. It is ALL correct - even a bit mild. Overall, organization was lacking. Processes were disorganized; we heard the word "cluster" quite a few times. The biggest surprise (of many) was the churlish attitude of most of the staff. Few smiles, uncaring (even after pouring coffee on my wife's lap!), angry that ...

Itinerary. Ship is too small inside to accommodate over 3500 guests. Service sucked. Food was mediocre. Wont go on Norwegian again ever. No world series showed which was not a good idea. Cruise director sucked. Halloween costumes party should of been in Theater. Bad organization with everything. Venues not enough space to accommodate guests. Lines too long. Dining room service 2 hours to ...

NCL was excellent and I would use them again. Even though 4600 passengers, experienced staff moves folks around w efficiency and great organization. Shore excursion tickets are clearly marked with time and place to meet each morning. Embark and disembark ran very smoothly. Busses are ready, clean, clearly marked, excellent drivers. Shore excursions many and varied for different levels of ...

Our travel agent in good faith helped us decide on the subject cruise. The decision was driven largely by the ports of call, and a generally good experience expressed by other clients regarding Princess. We are not seasoned cruisers but we travel extensively with bookings we do on our own. We were on a cruise with Royal Caribbean many years ago and two years ago with Celebrity. It was the ...

I would just concur with the poster who wrote "Marginal and Loud" as their headline. If you like really big, really loud, really overcrowded, and really under-serviced ships, then this ones for you. Otherwise I would run and "Getaway" as fast as you can. The ports were great though. The room attendants were friendly and spot on, so I will give kudos where due. The Starbucks was great. The ...

NEVER NCL ? Stay away from NCL

Had sailed last October on their Pride of America, to Hawaii. Worst Cruise ever! So, we thought. We vowed to never sail NCL ever again... yet, a few months later, my friend booked a Cruise to the Baltic Sea with NCL... At first, one always wants to be fair, and believe that "it will be better"... No! If they fail so badly to meet your expectations, it is "their way", "their ...
