Great time to the Baltic with Regal

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Royal Princess

Very enjoyable time on Regal Princess. Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth, we took the princess transfer from ship to airport on the last day, excellent. It was good to arrive at Copenhagen airport at least 3 hours before your flight time as so many people flying out and long queques at check in, security and immigration. Very happy with the ship, cleanliness, food, services and the ...

St Petersburg!

I chose this area particularly to go the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The other ports were lovely also. Enjoyed the 3 hour drive to Berlin. Was disappointed in the fast food lunch. Would have preferred a sit down meal. That guide had an agenda and has since left the company. Talinn was a charming surprise. So much to see. I would go again. Not too much walking for an old lady! The ship's ...

Poor service and food that does not compare to other cruises we have been on

We started the cruise dinning experience with my wife being told that it will take some more time to get a simple cup of hot chocolate it has only been 10 minutes. this is the first cruise that I have been on that I came home without gaining weight. I remember the cruise director in 2006 telling us that you come on as passengers and we roll you off as cargo because the food is so good. Today that ...

Royal Princess - Transatlantic

We had a wonderful time on our Transatlantic crossing with the Royal Princess. We have cruised with Princess many times and really like the Royal ship. The food was lovely in all of the restaurants. We ate mostly in The Symphony restaurant and the food/service was wonderful. We were on anytime dining so we tried all the restaurants. Some of the restaurants have a cover charge which is nominal so ...

The royal is about 18 months old and offers some changes from other Princess ships Hits: the expanded gathering space in the plaza is well done and very popular, The theater is well done with tier seating and easier access, the buffet is well laid out and offers a varied menu with very good quality, the walking ,running area is a plus . Misses: the loss of the ability to walk around the ship on ...

Pros: Ship looks beautiful. Wonderful atrium area. nice size fitness area. Crew was wonderful. The ports were fantastic. Alfredo's Pizza area was fabulous. Cons: definitely need to put a middle stairway in from 7 up. Need to add aisles to the princess theater. I found the buffet area rather confusing. Very little variation in food nightly. Service in dining room for lunch or dinner seemed to ...

Disappointed

Need major change of design and management Hopefully Regal will be the same design. Common areas: Super crowded, people everywhere. Not enough table, chairs, plates, green onion, cups, etc. Lines everywhere. To get a table and chair, you have to be there three hours before the event. Should perform flow chart to study work flow, customer flow and crowd control. Lots of things do not make sense at ...

Our cruise vacation started with an extra day in Copenhagen. We spent the night at the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers. The hotel provided a free shuttle from the airport…just had to meet them outside Terminal 2 after giving them a call. This hotel was spacious and conveniently located next to the metro and train stations. The hotel was clean and the bedding great. Michael checked us in and ...

Great Baltic Cruise with a Few Bumps!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Royal Princess

Overall, the Royal Princess & the Baltic Cruise were great! The ship is extremely nice, well laid out (with a few shortcomings) and the crew was very focused on making the passengers happy. First the downside: The lack of a promenade on the Royal is a major issues for those of us that like to walk on the deck. The Princess "answer" is to walk on the running track on the Sports Deck; that is a ...

We booked this cruise because of the itinerary, it was our first experience with Princess. We researched this ship and looked at other reviews, so I feel we went into it with realistic expectations. The destinations were fantastic, and lived up to what we expected. Since this is Princess's largest ship currently sailing, we knew we would be dealing with many people. It was an incredibly diverse ...
