Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

This was my second cruise with Costa. First one was with Smeralda . Check-in and access of the cabin worked well. Deck 2 insides. The journey from Copenhagen Danmark to Tarragona Spain went perfectly. The cabin was okey, interior grey but the bed was really good. The food is varied, the breakfast and lunch buffet is tasteless ,hot food is cold when you have found somewhere to sit. Restaurant ...

Fantastic first cruise experience, shame about the food and transfers

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand. The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal. Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least. More about this later. The ...

Welcome Back to Cruising on Oceania

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

We have all experienced the pandemic and wondered what cruising would look like in the New Reality. We took a chance on an early return to cruising on Oceania Marina and are so glad we did. Pre-cruise, there was a lot of uncertainty, with various European ports opening/closing/changing requirements. Oceania could have handled communications better with passengers. However, O offered ...

We chose the MSC Poesia as the Itinerary and price influenced us. Copenhagen to Genoa in September 2019. Aurea Balcony Suite, inclusive Drinks Package,(the old one as we booked before the new drinks package took over) We arrived at Copenhagen Terminal at 10.30am, they said we could board at 11.30am and a large Group of tourists decided to rush first, not lining up correctly, it was very ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

While we still like Oceania there were a number of areas that fell short of our expectations on this past cruise. Food – Over all we found the food on this trip was not as good as our prior two trips on Marina and Riviera. The Bouillabaisse in Jacques was not good at all.. No mussels, no clams, no fennel (I don’t think) and no broth. It was pasty, more like a sauce that I would expect in a ...

We have been on Oceania twice prior and because 3 nights in St Petersburg, 14 days and the Baltic was on our bucket list. Every place we had not been to and that was really appealing. We had travelled with Oceania twice prior and relatively positive experiences. The staff, whether, food, drinks, entertainment or cabin staff are excellent and very accommodating. The negatives, - Showers ...

The pros and cons

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on MSC Preziosa

This is my 1st true cruise (other than day cruises to the Bahamas). I was with well-seasoned cruisers. My experience was better than theirs beciase I had nothing to compare it to. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: The ship is lovely. It is not a huge ship but large enough. The staff was wonderful. We were especially grateful to our waiters, Wira and Eduardo, our maitre 'd, O'Neill, and ...

We choose this cruise because of the ports of call. Just returned from the worst 12 day cruise ever. The ship was nice, the guest so rude you really wouldn't believe it, pushing, shoving, telling you to get off the elevator so their family could all get in(even though you were there first). The crew were mostly unfriendly, I was asking a question to one of the supervisors, and he told me ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Star

Where do I begin? We booked nearly last minute and was told there was a possibility for an upgrade. We paid for an outside cabin and got one with a completely obstructed view, as a life boat was directly put the window. We asked if we could pay for an upgrade to a balcony and were told to keep coming back the next day. After 3 days we gave up. However, they did upgrade 2 from winning Bingo! ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Star

This cruise covered so much ground from Copenhagen to Barcelona and included stops in Oslo, Brussels, Amsterdam. Paris, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Valencia and Seville. There was ample time at each port to visit and see these cities. The nightly entertainment was varied and plentiful: from Incredible R&B to standard jazz and piano ballads. The service in the main dining room at the back of the ship was ...
