This was my second cruise with Costa. First one was with Smeralda . Check-in and access of the cabin worked well. Deck 2 insides. The journey from Copenhagen Danmark to Tarragona Spain went perfectly.

Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand.
The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal.
Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least.

While we still like Oceania there were a number of areas that fell short of our expectations on this past cruise.

We have been on Oceania twice prior and because 3 nights in St Petersburg, 14 days and the Baltic was on our bucket list. Every place we had not been to and that was really appealing. We had travelled with Oceania twice prior and relatively positive experiences.

We choose this cruise because of the ports of call. Just returned from the worst 12 day cruise ever.
The ship was nice, the guest so rude you really wouldn't believe it, pushing, shoving, telling you to get off the elevator so their family could all get in(even though you were there first).

Where do I begin? We booked nearly last minute and was told there was a possibility for an upgrade. We paid for an outside cabin and got one with a completely obstructed view, as a life boat was directly put the window.
