I wanted to visit the British Isles and after an exceptional cruies to Alaska, was ready to experience the same here. Unfortunately that was not the case. I was totally disappointed. The ship was in dire need of renovations, my cabin has shredded carpet, poor plumbing, ( bathroom flooded, toilet clogged). I understand maintenance issues happen, but when I have to wait in excess of 2 hours to get ...
1. When we left Scandic hotel in Copenhagen we asked a Princess rep in the hotel how to buy a ticket for a shuttle to the airport. She rudely said we hadn’t pre-booked one so to “find your own way there”. The taxi cost about 250 Danish crowns.
2. We lined up in the priority boarding line up and it was much slower than the regular line because so few non-platinum people were embarking. A waste ...
We chose the cruise because of ports we wanted to visit.
We have elite status on Princess and had been on the Regal twice before and this third time was a big disappointment. The quality/selection of the food was limited and awful and either over cooked and/or frequently cold. Many evenings the diningrm menu offerings were mediocre enough to warrant our going to the buffet, where service was ...
The reason we picked this cruise was because of the itinerary and the overnight stay in St Petersburg, Russia. We had over 10 cruises in the past 2 years with different cruise lines and have been cruising with Royal Caribbean most of the time, so we thought it would be nice to try Regal Princess for this Baltic/Scandinavia trip. This was a family cruise with my husband, our 2 young children, my ...
Chose based on the itinerary. they made 2 of 5 ports and gave me $200 cash and a credit for $150 on my next cruise that I'll never use.
The cruise director was a bright spot. Quite a character and a bundle of energy
The casino slot machines were brutal but that's a normal thing for any cruises I have been on.
We were rushed through the specialty dining . we ordered a glass of wine each ...
First cruise of this length. The allure of an Atlantic crossing got our attention. 5 days at sea; relaxation, entertainment, pampering, gourmet dining, interacting with others. We're not regular Princess Patrons, but the itinerary through Scandinavia, Scotland and Ireland was very appealing.
That proved to be a pipe-dream, for a whole lot of reasons that you'll see below.
Embarkation was ...
Picked this cruise for the Baltic ports. Definitely enjoyed most of the ports except Helsinki and the fact Princess was the only ship to Park an hour away from Stockholm, wasting much of everyone's day do they can save money. Celebrity had a ship that followed us to most ports and docked right in town. I would recommend that ship, better entertainment too.
I have sailed on many cruise lines ...
cabin steward ben excellent, entertainment one great nite beatlemanics , was only highlite 2 nights were a repeat performer the food has been cheapened, very veggie to save money. no steak available until last nite , used to be steak on alternative dinner menu now replaced by a berger and fries for dinner ??? lobster nite was small portion. on a sea day had pub lunch a great idea but fish and ...
This was my 14th cruise with Princess, however it may be my last.
Princess I always felt provided excellent quality at a reasonable price, but alas !! That is no longer the case.
My last 2 cruises have been extremely disappointing both on the Regal, and Royal. The food is really bad, and unless you pay for the Sanctuary you can’t get away for a little peace and quiet. Ship is over crowded, ...
Regal Princess is a beautiful ship with very little to do for activities, terrible food at times in dining room and the most unfriendly bar staff we have ever encounter on any cruise line.
The great services during embarkation ended as soon as we boarded the ship. Our cabin attendant grunted more than he spoke actual words. There seemed to be no extra effort on his part as we had to ask for ...
