My wife and I went on the Baltic Cruise with Princess in July 2015. I had mixed feelings about it. We had previously gone on the Alaska cruise with Princess and it was wonderful. The Baltic Cruise was a good way to get a sampling of Scandinavian countries. The stateroom was comfortable, the staff was very helpful and the food, although a bit institutional, was good. Princess also added some ...

We eagerly flew off to Copenhagen for two days to start our Baltic cruise vacation. Copenhagen is definitely on our list for a return trip. The city is lovely, people friendly, food expensive but good. We booked transfers to the hotel with Princess, and it really was an easy process. Had I known how really close the Radisson Blu is to the train station, I might have tried that, but with both of us ...

This was our second Princess Cruise, the first being in the late 1980's and we booked it due to the itinerary although we had been to St. Petersburg and Berlin on previous river boat cruises. We opted to go into Copenhagen several days early to experience the city, and we booked accommodations at the Best Western City Hotel. The location was great, the breakfast substantial, and the staff most ...

Good Cruise on the Baltic

My wife and I arrived in Copenhagen two days before our cruise to acclimatize ourselves and do some sightseeing in the city. This was good as it took us longer than normal to get over the jet lag this time and with our flights being delayed, it would have been very hard on us if we had arrived the same day as the cruise. We took the train from the airport and it was an easy experience. For 36 ...

This was our third cruise , the second with Princess, and from the moment we stepped on board we were thoroughly impressed. Our cabin had ample space for all our needs and the cabin staff wonderful. The room was serviced at least three times per day and done while we were absent from the room so it didnt interfere with us. The meals at the dining room were good if we didnt like something the ...

Finally getting around to sorting out the pictures and reliving the wonderful time that we had aboard the Emerald Princess. We flew in the day before the cruise started and stayed at the gorgeous Phoenix Hotel, what a lovely place to stay, nothing was too much trouble and it is conveniently situated for walking to all the major sites. So fully refreshed we set off for the ship at around 2pm, ...

As others have said, we took this cruise for the itinerary. Since it was our first cruise, we did not know what to expect. I booked our extra nights before & after the cruise in Copenhagen through the Radisson's website. This cost half of what Princess would have charged so I don't know why anyone would book through them. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. Princess was going to charge ...

Baltic Cruise on Emerald Princess (Berlin/Warnemunde)

The ports of call were Tallin (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), Oslo (Norway), Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark), Arhuus (Denmark). Most people choose to embark in Copenhagen but Princess allows passengers to embark in Warnemunde, which is the port for Berlin. Berlin is about 3 hours by train to Warnemunde. We bought our train tickets online at www. bahn.de and caught ...

What happened to Princess?

I am sailed 7 times in 10 years. I have sailed with Celebrity (a long time ago) and Royal (about 7 years ago). All other cruises have been with Princess. I always thought that Princess was a bit better in every way. While I do not know if other lines have improved or declined, I can say that Princess is declining. It seems like they are trying to save money and hoping we do not notice. Well, ...

This is the first time we took a cruise tour (land and cruise) before we sailed on June 25, 2013 on the Emerald Princess. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Berlin beforehand. We had a terrific tour director, Lucy, and a wonderful bus driver (Chaba). We only had 21 people on this tour with us and by the end we got to be one happy family! Going on the land tour afforded us ...
