Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

Our cruise began in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the pre boarding process my wife and I were asked where we were from by one of the MSC cruise line staff holding a clip board. We responded, "we are from Texas, USA", the MSC employee then rolled her eyes, and replied "oh no, we already have too many Americans". It was an awkward moment, as we thought she was only kidding, and we were waiting for ...

The deterioration of the Regal Princess experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose the cruise because of ports we wanted to visit. We have elite status on Princess and had been on the Regal twice before and this third time was a big disappointment. The quality/selection of the food was limited and awful and either over cooked and/or frequently cold. Many evenings the diningrm menu offerings were mediocre enough to warrant our going to the buffet, where service was ...

The good, the bad and the ugly

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Customer service prior to leaving is attrocious. Promised phone calls from customer service never returned, not once but 3 times. Once they have your money the pre cruise staff don't really care. However once on board cruise services did everything they could to sort out our issues and did this successfully. On a positive note the entertainment was great, the cabin stewards were excellent, ...

horrible experience

My family was excited for months to cruise. The suite we had was very nice and clean along with a beautiful balcony. Everything from that point on went down hill. There were so many people on the ship you felt like sardines. The ship was big and kids activities were nice but you had to wait on line for a couple of hours to do the ropes course, rock wall and some of the slides. The food to say the ...

We went on this cruise for a family trip to get to know the Baltics. The ship has a lot of things to do, but if is going to cruise the baltic sea it should have an indoor pool and more indoor activities, the weather was good only the first two days, the rest, all the outside was impossible to use The baltics are beautiful countries, but the amount of time you stay there is very low and my ...

Okay cruise ship, terrible beds!

We choose NCL because family members had recommended it and we liked the ports of call. The ship was okay, not great. The food was good, but not great and really nothing special. The Garden Cafe's food was almost exactly the same every day for both breakfast and lunch. At dinner they would add maybe one additional entree. The specialty restaurants were better than the regular dining rooms. But my ...

Never Sailing NCL again

We were two families of three generations (including grandparents and children) excited to be traveling to Baltic destinations. We stayed in a balcony family cabin (14814) that had a Pullman bed. I had previously sailed twice with my family on Royal Caribbean with similar accommodation so had an idea of what to expect. Overalll Royal Caribbean was by far more organised, pleasant and ...

Subpar Customer Service, Customer Relations doesn't care about customer loyalty

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

We had many little issues on the Norwegian Getaway. No one issue would have led me to rate the cruise as poor. But there were so many issues that it affected our relaxation and enjoyment of the cruise. I rated the cruise as poor because NCL does not seem to care enough about passenger loyalty to respond to complaints. I filed a complaint through the NCL website complaint option, I sent an email ...

I'm a frequent cruiser, as I've been on other cruise lines including Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Carnival, and I have never been on a cruise ship where I was treated with such a low regard in my entire life. Now, this is not my first time with MSC. I have sailed on the MSC Divina and the Seaside out of Miami each twice. However, on the Seaside we booked the Yacht Club, ...

Getaway Baltic Cruise was Overcrowded & Expensive

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

To be clear, we chose Norwegian because of the port stops and because the timing of this cruise allowed us to take it with another family. Overall, we had a great time with our friends, liked the port stops (except Russia), but the Norwegian part of the experience was disappointing. In the past, we have cruised with Disney (2), Princess (1), and Carnival (1). Liked... 1. The ports and ...
