Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Zuiderdam

All in all, this turned out to be a pretty good cruise. The itinerary got changed around a bit for a number of reasons. We had bad weather in the Labrador Sea which caused us to miss two port calls, also, on the way to St. John’s , we needed to double back and assist in the search efforts for a person who went missing from another cruise ship that was in our area so we missed that port and ...

A greenhorn report

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

This was our first cruise, so my comments may sound as if I am a greenhorn – which I am as far as cruises are concerned. The cruise was on the "Serenade of the Seas" (Royal Caribbean) on the Baltic Sea from Copenhagen stopping at Stockholm, Tallinn, St. Petersburg and Helsinki, then returning to Copenhagen. The ship is huge (though I was told there are even bigger), well-organized, clean, ...

EMBARCATION We didn’t not organize a transfer beforehand, but when we arrived at the airport NCL representatives were there for other passengers and they brought us to the ship (25$US each). It was 13h00, the embarcation took less than 15 minutes and our room was ready. DINIING We had a package with 3 restaurants. We also added Moderno and took advantage of the lower price for Ocean ...

Great ship, well run, excellent in suite info system including up to date account info vacation planner.Good entertainment. Good specialty restaurants.Good staff overall. BUT Free style dining wins the convenience war but loses on the food quality war vs other lines in the Dining Rooms particularly the Manhatten Good variety of shore excursions but 3 hour delay on the return train trip from ...

Embarkation and disembarkation smooth; Cabin service no issue; Over the 9 days we (8)patronized the same lounge due to great service. Went the day before to see the sights of Copenhagen. Entertainment was not up to PAR; Activities was limited for the size of the ship. When weather prohibited the use of the outside, the ship was too congested. We had a couple of issues with the food and service. 1- ...

We had a wonderful Baltic cruise! We saw so much in such a short period of time. Definitely very fast paced and tiring, but worth every moment. Here is my summary: Ship - nicely maintained, didn't feel like there was 4600+ guests on board Staff - We didn't find the staff as friendly or engaged compared to other cruises we have done. Some staff were amazing, but others we found rude or not ...

We boarded the cruise ship in Copenhagen and overall it was a great cruise. As always Princess's embarkation and disembarkation was quick and seamless. All events like muster and the captains welcome party was very well coordinated. However due to the number of people onboard, it can get very crowded and uncomfortable in the Promenade deck especially with the stalls set up its really feels like ...

We have been on one other cruise with RCI (Explorer of the seas) and chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary , but also because we had a good experience previously with RC and lastly because the ship is slightly smaller. The booking process went well and communication pre cruise was very good. We booked flights and an overnight stay in Copenhagen as part of the package. The hotel in ...

This was our 3rd NCL cruise having previously cruised on the Jade and Spirit. We were apprehensive going on a larger ship but boy we were not disappointed. The size caters for all the passengers and there is plenty of space to find your own peace and quiet if required. We travelled with a 15 year old who stated it was the best ship experience he had ever had. Getting to the port from ...
