Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Dawn

We have never been on a cruise before but this itinerary seemed interesting with lots of exciting destinations. In addition we expected Silversea to deliver a high quality on board experience. Silver Dawn is a beautiful ship. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, the food was mostly very good, (with one massive exception), the service and housekeeping were excellent. Unfortunately the ...

This was my second cruise with Costa. First one was with Smeralda . Check-in and access of the cabin worked well. Deck 2 insides. The journey from Copenhagen Danmark to Tarragona Spain went perfectly. The cabin was okey, interior grey but the bed was really good. The food is varied, the breakfast and lunch buffet is tasteless ,hot food is cold when you have found somewhere to sit. Restaurant ...

Satisfactory but lacking.

I have cruised HA 15 times. Love the line. We took this cruise and extended another 14 days to travel to Egypt, Turkey, Greece etc. so we were on the ship a total of 25 days. HA has always attracted an older crowd and the ship is usually fairly full. We noticed the following during our 25 days: (1) Poor officer interaction with passengers (2) poorly trained Lido floor wait staff (3) lack of ...

Dead in the water

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

This cruise was the worse. Can you believe the ship actually shut down and no power at 3a. No word from the Bridge, nothing for 4 hours. And then a pathetic apology and nothing more. Breakfast was only cold food and coffee was delayed by an hour. This was totally glossed over by the ship and crew. Cabin was well worn and certainly not worth the cost. Many stains on the bathroom floor. ...

An unforgettable experience

This was our first cruise experience and it has been a marvelous gift by our son. The chosen itinerary was very interesting, but quite long (3weeks) and we were a bit worried to get bored BUT we didn’t have to be so apprehensive because the days “have flown “fast thanks to the well planned tours and to the valid, involving entertainment activities, even if we have participated only to the evening ...

Disney Does IT oh so right

Second recent cruise on Disney cruise line after the pandemic. We are Diamond Plus members with RCCL (for perspective). Although RCCL ships are beautiful and entertainment is top notch the service and especially the Food has gone down the tube. Only the Specialty Dining is good. Disney however is the total package! Beautiful ships, amazing entertainment, spectacular service, great tasting food ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

User Avatar

Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand. The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal. Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least. More about this later. The ...

Great ship, great itinerary

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We just returned from the 10 day 9/13 Prima sailing. Overall we loved the ship. Food: the food venues were all great. The main dining room - Hudson’s- is an amazing space with a panoramic view from every table. In addition to dinner; we also enjoyed the lunch menu at Hudsons. We really liked the Indulge Food Hall concept where you sit anywhere and order anything you want from a tablet. ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The Travel Club of my HOA chose the cruise, Copenhagen to Southhampton. We decided to back-to-back it to NYC. We have been on many cruises, but only one other NCL, Pride of America, many years ago. This was a great deal, money-wise, with 3 specialty restaurants included in each cruise and a beverage package. Our travel agent didn't tell us about options like The Haven (more later), so we got a ...

Cruise very frequently and have done many on NCL and other cruise companies. Wanted to do the new Prima. Have not been disappointed. Completed the cruise which is the sublect of my review, and am currently on the Prima's transatlantic voyage to NY. See my Title of Review. One or two things I wonder about in design, but this stuff is subjective. For example the main pool deck is small and can ...
