We had a great cruise and stay with a magic itinerary , apart from Venice and Dubrovnik our favourite was Kotor - a beautiful sail up the bay - not a fjord we were told. We did not like the layout of the ship, mainly the buffet situated fore and aft with very little seating either end, that is unless you joined the smokers. We had breakfast and dinner in the Seven Seas Restaurant, just a little quieter in the morning and in the evening we enjoyed the company of so many different couples there - never had to queue either, service was a little chaotic at times but the food was fine and enjoyed. Our cabin 925 superior, having said that it was very disappointing very little room on one side of the bed and the bathroom was the wet room type - not ideal - you had to take care not to wet the whole floor. The storage space was very good also, although our cases would not go under the bed. The entertainment was really good - West End standard without doubt. We did the Caves & Castle from Koper Good Trip Venice we did our own thing Sibenik. Krka National Park. Good Trip Dubrovnik. Did our own thing Kotor. Just did the walking tour then wandered around ourselves. Our second week was spent at the Costas Golden Beach Hotel best hotel we have stayed at in Greece. Just forgot to mention cabins on deck 9 are subject to lots of noise from deck above. It would have to be a exceptional itinerary for us to book the Majesty again. Read Less

The Regal is a large Ship but does not feel crowded. The Service, Food and Shows performed by the Cruise Dancers and Singers were all exceptional. A Top tip is to get your own Visa for St Petersburg and stay the night in a Hotel as it works out about the same as a Tour but you have the freedom of the City for 2 whole days. For those planning to download films prior to going an excellent service is the free movies. The one and only thing that lets this cruise down is a steady stream of sales pitches. I do appreciate that they are in it to make money and the staff pitching may get extra Commisions but if things were offered at a more reasonable rate without the push they may get more takers. That to one side this was our 10th Wedding Anniversary and I can only say that from Embarkation to flying home it was a breeze and that was down to outstanding staff throughout the Ship. A special mention has to go to the standard of food in every area o=f the Ship the Leadership in the kitchen must be immense. Read Less

The Eurodam Maiden Voyage This was my third cruise, I have been on Princess and Royal Caribbean prior to this summer and was looking forward to being on what I heard was an "elite first class ship." Well folks, don't believe it! The rooms are cramped and small just like most ships. I was told that I would have a window or balcony cabin and ended up with a small inside 110 square foot room that I shared with my Mother-In-Law! HAL would not give out my room assignment until a week ahead of the cruise! Part HAL's fault part my travel agent. Food: The Lido which is for breakfast and lunch had very regulated hours. If you were a morning person expect only coffee, if you were a sleeper expect only coffee! They opened breakfast at 8 and would not serve until that time. Also, if you went on port and were back after 2 they would not have food available aside from the grill fare and pizza. All the items in the Lido were served for you creating lots of lines. Just for a waffle I stood in line for over 10 minutes because the server was making other things. Same with lunch, lines all the time. I did try to jump the line and got scolded by the staff! While the food was better than home, it wasn't an AWWW. It was cafeteria food. Dinner which was "open seating" required reservation or waiting for a table or both. Dinner was often undercooked (steaks) or dry (fish) the vegetable entrEes were the best. Service: The service was good not great. The cabin steward cleaned the small room we were in and placed the chocolates on the bed at night as well as made the towel animals. The dining room staff refilled cups but rarely offered to take your tray for sitting. The dinner staff cleared the table, took your order, sometimes recommending dishes, but did not wipe off crumbs that were left over from the bread. The Ship: Cramped, not with people but chairs and tables all over. As one can tell, I am not impressed with this HAL, it is not "elite" in any standards. This cruise was way over priced - It was a shame that I was not informed months prior of what the ship was like, I would have canceled out! The Ports: If you just want the ports, then they were interesting! If you have questions, please feel free to contact me: lisaakelleher@comcast.net Shows: The singers and dancers were very good, Justin Miller was also enjoyable; Comic was as I call "stuck on stupid" Dougie ? Another comedian told off-color jokes and put downs about his wife -- I left after 5 minutes! Read Less

For the first time we took Costa Cruice in summer 2008 in Mediterranean Tour from Barcelona. We were so please with experience with Costa that we decided to take Costa cruise again to Norwegian Fjords from Copenhagen for one week 9th June. What a disappointment and waste and money! We had a suite that we paid for the family with two children 4700e/week. What happened to Costa Cruise between these years? The huge difference from before was the crew! They were arrogant and fake friendly robots! Did the crew paid that disaster with Concordia? Did the cruise company cut their salary to pay the bill? We had in our suite a nice welcoming suggest a bottle of Spumante. Because we don´t use any alcohol, we asked for our "butler” to have an alcohol free alternative like Coca Cola instead, BUT THIS WASN´N POSSIBILE  WE DIDN´T GET ANYTHING! Our "butler” spoke so lousy English that we couldn´t understand her. Everything what we should have in our suite automatically like fresh fruit every day, lunch/diner menus  we were oblige to asked for to get some. For the first night, they took our chairs away, and we actually had to be angry and unfriendly to get them back to our suite. We also went a several time to gym/sauna and in the ladies side was a "big girl” crew member, who was so rood and unfriendly. I had problems with a locker and she didn´t want to help me at all. She preferred to gossip with her friend. We were also invited to have cocktails with the captain, but he wasn´t never there. And we were also kindly offered to take a photo with a captain, but unfortunately we were late and we took a photo with the Hotel manager instead. But that photo wasn´t free to surge as it was written on invitation! What a surprise! We went to the customer service desk, and there was a very arrogant crew member ( a man) who let us kindly know that only members on Club pearl and Gold Club pearl can have a good service in that ship. We were members only in the Club Coral. But he made a call to verified and told us, that we couldn´t have the photo with a Hotel manager free, but the photo graphed person offered to take a NEW photo and that photo we could get free! How stupid can it be? The manly crew member was very arrogant and rod to us! The food in the restaurants was excellent, but the crew was like robots with mechanic smile in the face. And after the one week in Costa Fortuna, when we leave the ship, our "friendly butler” didn´t even said goodbye! So we have shared our experience with everybody in social media like Facebook, Twitter, travel blogs and sites. Our friends chooses a Norwegian Cruice Line instead Costa Cruise because our experience. And for us, NEVER more Costa Cruises! For the next year we choose Norwegian cruise Line for holidays! What a shame! Cruising from 1948!   Read Less
