We were on the Royal Princess Feb/March 2019 on the South America cruise and thought the Baltic Cruise on the Regal Princess early June, would be a good comparison of the two ships. While both ships have similar decor and design we were somewhat disappointed in the Regal Princess.

We did this cruise because we'd never been in the Baltic before. We've sailed with Princess before with mixed results and this trip was par for the course. The destinations were excellent. (St. Petersburg was the surprise disappointment, Talinn and WarnemĂĽnde was outstanding!)

After some amazing cruises with TUI and Royal Caribbean, we chose to do the Norwegian Fjords primarily for the scenery. Sad to say Gerainger aside we didn’t see too much of the Fjords and spent a lot of time on choppy sea. Trips further into the Fjords were available but at a price.

Chose this cruise primarily for the Itinerary - however we missed 2 ports. The 1st due to NCL's disorganization and leaving Copenhagen several hours late. The 2nd Port there is conflicting information, Captain said high winds, newspapers say dock had ambulance and police do to an incident.

This cruise was chosen because the itinerary, particularly that of the first week, suited us just fine. Our first NCL cruise.
