Having sailed with others, we are restricted due to the school holidays; where my partner works and it can limit our choice and availability.
We flew to Copenhagen and enjoyed an amazing city before cruising.
Everything from getting on the ship at Copenhagen to leaving it at Stockholm; was fantastically executed. Food and choices along with entertainment was the best I've experienced to ...
We just got off our first SS cruise, the 10-day Copenhagen-to-Copenhagen Norwegian Fjords itinerary. It was an absolutely wonderful vacation and exceeded our expectations in every way. I loved combing through reviews in the months leading up to our trip so wanted to post here with our overwhelmingly positive experience.
My husband and I (mid-30s) traveled with my in-laws. This was a very ...
We had not travelled on Silversea since before Covid. Our last sailing was on Silver Muse in 2018. In between times we have taken several cruises on Seabourn, including the Ovation in 2022. Overall both companies have changed since Covid, cutting out small things, presumably as a cost cutting exercise. It is hard to say that one company is definitely better than the other as both have ...
This was our first time on HAL; our cruising has otherwise been on Norwegian and Royal C. We chose this ship for the itinerary--Norway fjords--and for the price, which included the drink package, internet, and credits for shore excursions and specialty dining, along with an $800 flight credit.
We left from Copenhagen--if you haven't been, seriously consider spending 3-4 days there before ...
We chose the Northern Europe Itinerary as our first Disney cruise. We were 2 adults traveling without children. Our veranda room was comfortable. We purchased a Rain Forest Package for out entire 7 day sail; it was luxurious. The shows and entertainment were professional. There were talented musicians performing daily in many different venues. The adult only sections of the ship were excellent. ...
Regal Princess; Southampton to Southampton Aug 2023.
The ship is ok!
I do think it has a confusing layout, you are only able to go to some floors in some lifts, so you have to get off one lift to walk down corridors, past dozens of rooms, to get to the next lift to catch that one to get to the lower floors, which you need to do for getting off the ship and to go to the bars/ ...
Chose this cruise for overview of British Isles. Port call at Le Havre France was a plus as it allowed for excursions to Normandy Beaches or Giverny to see Monet's Garden.
Crew was superb. Excellent Cabin Steward, Bar and Restaurant Staff. Service was always friendly and timely.
Bars were enjoyable spaces and nice places to hang out. Especially liked the Good Spirits bar at atrium ...
Our 20 day cruise went as high as illulisat Greenland with scenery or amount of Icebergs I was not expecting. The ship is old yes but extremely clean and well presented. We had cabin which was your usual balcony cabin layout. The surprise was having a kettle in the cabins to make your tea or coffee anytime. No USB ports in the cabin which is almost unforgiving these days. Food was extensive in ...
Embarkation was fairly quick and easy from Copenhagen.
Itinerary was very nice and included excellent ports including the change to Gothenburg Sweden.
Cabin service was excellent for our aft view balcony.
Food quality was very good and the Pinnacle Grill is outstanding. MDR food was very good. I am still baffled at how cruise lines continue to create such poorly designed lido dining ...
Buckle in, this is a long one. I'll also be posting it to the cruise reviews section.
BACKGROUND
This is coming from the perspective of a couple in their sixties who used to cruise quite a bit (Royal Caribbean, Princess, even 1 Carnival cruise (ugh), up until we caught norovirus during a Princess cruise which included Egypt back in 2011 and swore we would never cruise again. This is a ...
