Ship felt loud noisy during a bad storm part of ceiling came down. Stateroom 6017. On the bow. Not a good place during a severe storm
Ambulatory assessable cabin was decent sized and easily fit my ecv. But not in the bathroom step out to the balcony.
Food average entertainment meh. Definitely a partiers Cruise. Lots of very drunk people. Passing out drunks
Nothing to do of value ...
This ship can NOT. Handle rough seas. Very frightening. Loud banging ceiling falling down. Scary and unpleasant. Mild seas were fine but we hit a significant storm with winds hitting between 43 and 66 kts. And a very roiling sea. This ship felt as though it was going to break apart. Heat and air stopped working.
We had ambulatory assessable room. Plenty of room for ecv. But has ...
Watch out because Carnival decides on a case by case basis when they will compensate for stuff they feel is something they want to or not. We missed an entire day of sailing and disembarked at midnight because of their previous sailing. No compensation was offered for missed day except for the prorate of one day of drinking packages and internet packages. So ridiculous!! How about for people ...
I chose this cruise because I had a pleasant experience with Carnival 2 years ago on the Carnival Liberty. I should have chosen another cruise line, the first trip seemed to be a one-off lucky good time.
SHIP CONDITION:
The sunshine is dirty, tired, and cabins DO smell as reported in other reviews. The porter entered our room without permission, and with the DND tag hanging on the door on ...
Absolutely awful cruise to go on as a honeymoon, should have just spent the entire week in Charleston instead of getting on the boat.
Cons:
Drinks should not include 18 percent gratuity for just grabbing a beer out of the cooler and should not be around 8 ish per beer.
Toilets had no water in them and I had to fill the toilet with water just to get everything down.
Breakfast was ...
We had been looking forward to this cruise for sooooo long. It was the first one for my husband and the second one for me (although mine was 20 years ago on the no longer existing Big Red Boat). Unfortunately, was not a very good experience for either one of us and will definitely not go back on this one.
Cons:
*Embarkation was a nightmare! The parking and the walking just to get to the ...
I don't even know where to start!!!
I have been spoiled by Disney cruises and now that my daughter feels she is too "old" to travel Disney we choose Carnival out Charleston, SC
Cons:
1. Don't book/pay for ANYTHING in advance prior to getting on the ship. Trust me you will have to fight/dispute charges later, so just pay when you get there.
2. Don't bother to reserve arrival/boarding ...
This was to be a bucket list trip down the Intracoastal Waterway. The ports were interesting but the ship was a complete disappointment. Stateroom was very small. The amenities could have come from a cheap motel. Burned out light in the tiny bath was never replaced. Three pieces of personal property were discarded by housekeeping staff. WIFI was non-existent. Food was boring and tasteless. ...
This was my second cruise I have been on, the sunshine was awesome I loved the people that worked on it they made everything fun,the food was amazing way better than my first cruise. I had the best time of my life on this cruise I swear I did not want to get off. Matter of fact my cousin and I are coming back on the sunshine in October with other family members who have not been on a cruise before ...
The ship is not nearly big enough to trap thousands of people for two weeks. There was no entertainment at all. Not even a stage for it. Very small common areas. Had planned to stay on ship during ports that were not handicap friendly, which turned out to be most of them. But the ship maintenance had other ideas. At nearly every port, they painted the ship. The ship's ventilation sucked in the ...
