Worst Experience Ever!

Review for Carnival Fantasy to Bahamas

Initially the excitement for our cruise was beyond belief, however when arriving to Charleston it dramatically decreased. Everyone was rushed through the embarkation process as if we were in a cattle barn. The customer service during the whole process was terrible! Immediately after stepping foot on the ship our entire party was harassed by someone from the photo department, after politely ...

Ship in Need of Refurb

This was not disclosed prior to booking or arriving for the cruise, this was the last cruise the Carnival Fantasy would sail prior to dry docking for a full refurbishment. The cost was not significantly less than any other similar time frame on the same class of ship from the same port, etc. All things being equal, it was not discounted enough for the state the ship was in. Not only was the ship ...

So we booked this cruise because a group of friends out of Charleston invited us to go on a cruise vacation with them. It has been years since we sailed with Carnival because we primarily sail Royal Caribbean. In fact, we just completed a RCL cruise less than 3 weeks ago. So I would say that we are very experienced cruisers. We did check out the reviews prior and we saw quite a few bad ones. ...

A Very Positive Experience

As first-time cruisers, we were concerned about the negative reviews we read prior to departure. We now know there are thousands of very satisfied clients and comparatively only a handful of naysayers. We had a wonderful time. The ship was immaculate, the staff was superlative and the cuisine was delicious. Programs were also well-planned and executed. A highlight for us was the ...

I have yet to go on any Carnival cruise that has "wowed" me. That being said, you can't expect a 5 star cruise, paying 3 star prices. The price for our cruise on the Fantasy was VERY cheap. Less than 300 dollars per person, including taxes and fees. So I can't really complain much. Embarkation and debarkation were pretty painless. Baggage came to the room within 2 to 3 hours after ...

Excellent Cruise Experience

This was my first time on a cruise. I must say I'm disheartened by all the negative, petty comments. For the small amount it cost to take my family on a ship down the Atlantic Ocean, it definitely beat flying. Not only was it cheaper to take the Carnival Fantasy than flying....plus, they fed us and entertained us the whole way there and back. I thought the food was great! The comedy shows ...

My husband and I decided on an impromptu cruise since we didn't get a chance to go on a honeymoon after getting married couple months ago. We should have done a more thorough research regarding cruise ships as well as destinations we were going to visit, but I figured all cruises are about the same and it cant be that bad. At least I didnt pay a ton for tickets. We drove in (thankfully it was only ...

My wife has been trying for 10 years to get me on a cruise ship. I have always been reluctant because I've always been told cruises typically nickle and dime you to death. In that vain I was not disappointed. I was in fact nickle and dimed to death with the hidden gratuity charges and extra fees for edible food in the eateries. This ship has 2 formal/semi formal dining rooms and I was only ...

We have done the 5 day Bahama cruise out of Charleston a couple of time on the Fantasy. We also have cruise on several other Carnival ships and other cruise lines. We took the Jan 5th cruise because we were looking for a cheap and easy getaway after the holidays. This was our best cruise on the Fantasy out of Charleston. Yes it is an older and smaller ship than most other cruise ships but it fits ...

Best Vacation, Best Value!

My husband and I went on a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas, leaving from the Port of Charleston on the Carnival Fantasy. First, lets talk about the port. We have went on cruises in the past, but Charleston's embarkation/debarkation was the easiest of any port we have used. We arrived to the port at 10:30 and dropped off our bags at the early drop off. Then came back to park at 11:00. We waited in ...
