This was the worst cruise ever. The port in Charleston SC was terrible. We had to walk a mile back to our car when we got back or wait an hour for a bus. There is no where on this ship for peace and quiet. This is for drinkers and gamblers. The dining room is a joke. Its more like a cafe. The server didn't introduce himself. He just came up and said are you ready? One piece of bread, one ...
A friend invited us to join them. Big mistake. Food was tasteless unless going to specialty dining areas. Buffet sucked in plain English. Housekeeping was fantastic. All staff were outstanding and friendly. Just felt overcrowded. As a non smoker I could not spend more than 30 minutes in the casino. Smokers would rather sit in there and smoke (not playing) so that they did not have to go to the 3rd ...
This ship is a joke. Room had several patched jobs with different colors. Smelled and broken furniture. Women’s dry sauna was registered at 230 degrees wet sauna had no steam (reported it twice) never changed all week Numerous medical emergencies. Rust filled Lido deck, broken down elevators. Entertainment suitable for the gereatrics ward. Save your money because Carnival doesn’t care. Day 2 man ...
Chose this cruise based on the ports of call - St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and the length of the cruise and embarkation port close to home.
Pluses of the ship:
Clean ship, easy to get around, great ship for smoker's,
Negatives:
For non-smoker's they must walk through the casino smoking area to get to the aft or forward part of the ship.
Food: Lido - Way below par - cold ...
Port close to home, longer cruise (10-Day Journeys cruise). Never again.
Ship is a terrible sea day ship for those of us who like to retire to the usually quiet and peaceful muster deck to read and watch the sea and islands go by (and sometimes even sea creatures). There are no loungers on the muster deck here. With 6 sea days, a tiny serenity deck infested by chair hogs, and nowhere to ...
We love cruising with Carnival, as we know what to expect, and we like longer cruises, so this 10 day was a perfect choice for us. We ha cabin U-40 which had lot of room, and we were comfortable with the temperature Very little bathroom storage, but we made adjustments. Room was actually for 4, so at headboard there was this ledge overhead and you could no sit back and watch TV and you had to be ...
Pros: Live near Charleston and did not go to the Bahamas
Embarkation and disembarkation was satisfactory
Food was good and the dining room service was excellent especially Sunita
Cabin steward's were the best
Ship was clean
Never introduced to the officers and crew as is done on most of the other ships I have sailed on
...
The dining and main part of the deck was too small for the volume of people. Dining was almost always crowded, deck area was filled to capacity. The water park area took up a large part of the deck, however, there were not many kids on this cruise - leaving the rest of us fighting for comfortable space in the remaining 2 small pools and lounge chair areas.
The activities and constant ...
The first thing is we had cockaroches in our cabin. we should have complained but saw them only the first night. Dining was crowded but we were with a large group but the food was ok and the waiters were good. I am a gambler an I was in the casino most of the day when it was available . When we were cruising.at night it was terrible with the smoke in the casino room. I gamble a lot but ...
First of all the positive. The crew on this ship is great. They are very friendly and willing to help any time you ask. Our steward was great and dinning room staff, especially IRMA was great! Our cabin was on the Riviera deck, Standard ocean view nothing fancy. The problem came when we tried to sleep, there must have been some kind of door banging back and forth as we were traveling. It was very ...
