Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Journey

Just got back from a 2 week trip. Overall experience was great. Few bad points worth mentioning but nothing that would change our minds to do another trip with this company. The bad: the excursion desk doesn’t have themselves together. We got an excursion ticket they had a different title than what we paid for. Once on the bus we were told the itinerary. Half the bus was ready to riot as ...

A much better Journey than expected!

We wanted to experience some Greek islands which we haven't visited before and with the late night stays in Santorini and Mykonos we went with Celestyal as the local experts. We had a week on Crete first before joining the ship (I didn't know you could join the cruise at ports other than Piraeus). The only problem here is that there is no one shore side to assist with your luggage until you are ...

We actually had a great time on this cruise, although some of the reviews are pretty accurate with regard to the plumbing and mechanical challenges the boat had with hot water, water pressure, air, TV, water leaks, toilet, etc. But, it was a bit of a shakedown cruise for the company and I’m sure they will work through all of that if they haven’t already. When we arrived the embarkation process ...

Shame about the water in the cabin

We had been on the Celestyal Crystal in 2019, and decided to repeat it as the itinerary was much better and we love Greece. Anyway, we had a deck 10 junior suite with balcony. embarkation was quick and easy, the cabin was fine, we thought. We got up on Sunday to find no hot water, cured by maintenance after 30 mins! Monday and Tuesday mornings it was barely lukewarm. Wednesday no hot water at ...

Overall great experience

Overall we were happy with this cruise. Our cabin was spacious and very clean. The food was inconsistent. Breakfasts and lunches were always very good, but the dinner options were either very good or disappointing. We chose the specialty dining at 60 euros a person for our last night and while it was delicious, it didn't blow us away. Wifi and cell service was extra and a hassle to set up and ...

Overview: We would like to thank Celestyal Cruises for giving us a 125% credit for our original March 2020 booking. They are a high integrity company. We are world-travelers but novice-cruisers so this review describes our experience but does not compare it to other cruises. In general, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend the ship and the itinerary to you. Those things that ...

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

I had the pleasure of cruising on this ship in June 2021. It is very affordable with the inclusive drinks package and included shore excursions. It had rigid Covid 19 rules. The ship has no pretensions of being 5 star but having previously sailed on luxury ships I have no reservations in stating that this was one of my best ever cruises. The reason; the crew as every member that I ...

BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

This cruise was part of a Globus land tour of Greece. Embarkation was one of the smoothest ever experienced I'm sure because the Ship was only 3/4 full. We enjoyed the free drink package at no extra cost which was a real treat. You had a great selection of beer, wine and spirts. The service aboard was both professional and extremely friendly. The food was fantastic! We ate in the main ...

Well done, enjoyable cruise

I'll start by saying we travel a lot, but aren't "cruise people". We've only been on one other cruise. Most of our travel is self-booked, no groups, tours, etc. That said, we were looking to do something out of the ordinary and special for our 35th anniversary cruise, and had our sights set on exploring a few greek islands. After looking at options including cruises, flights, and water taxis, we ...

Great itinerary!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The dining was average, it just started to get repetitive after a while. For breakfast, it was the same options for seven days. There were hot food items (eggs, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, omelets), a yogurt section with many toppings, fresh fruit, bread and pastries. For lunch and dinner, the buffet was similar each day. There was a ...
