great itinerary to visit the Aegean and great crew

We are Americans in our 50s. We travel a lot, but this was our first ever cruise. I really liked our 7-day cruise of the Aegean. The itinerary was great, we liked the ship, and the people working onboard were great. Our cruise director Danny was excellent. I am giving my review to tell readers what I would have found useful to know, and to also provide constructive feedback to Celestyal ...

Aging ship with really great crew

Review for Celestyal Crystal to Greece

An ageing vessel, "dirty" engines putting out fumes on departure from ports. Outside deck space is tired, not very comfortable seating and cushions when available dirty with cig burns. Cocktails very watered own, wine a dinner nothing special but drinkable Excursions rather long and padded out with relatively uninteresting visits like carpet factory in Kusadasi which was interesting ...

Great Greek Cruise

I personally loved this cruise! The crew were excellent, the entertainment was great, the excursions were great too. I loved everything about the cruise. We had an Olive Oil thematic. This meant a few interesting presentations by an olive oil expert (GAEA) , a food blogger (https://www.facebook.com/cookandfeel.gr/?pnref=lhc) and an archaeologist that worked on olives too. All three were ...

I have a nice trip in Celestyal Crystal to discover Greek Islands. The ship has a few years but is very well preserved. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The places I visit are very nice and I feel it is a good way to met some Greek islands. I am not sure to recommend several excursions but the tour of Ephesus is highly recommended. You can visit the other places on your ...

Overall Experience

Review for Celestyal Crystal to Greece

Overall it was a good experience. However, some of the islands we visited could be removed completely as there was nothing to see there (like Ios island, or even Sirios), and they could make a longer stop at Santorini. The pool water was very very cold and the pool itself very small, while situated in the middle of a bar and a restaurant. The sun beds were on different floors, so there was no ...

A Disappointing Onboard Experience

We choose this cruise as I had done the same cruise on the Crystal eight years ago and wanted to share the experience again with my partner as it was the most amazing experience. We have both cruised many time with other companies in the last eight years. We were very disappointed!!! The ship is quite shabby now, the entertainment in the evenings is very poor and never starts on time.there is no ...

Great Cruise

The best way to see the Greek Egean islands. Entertainment onboard - bar music, night shows - were very high quality. Exceptional group of singers from Cuba at the Eros Lounge and Bar. Dining was ok, but not exceptional. Only one restaurant was open, with very limited menu a la carte. Cabin was ok, and service acceptable. The shore excursions were partly interesting; some were a must go - Efes ...

Good Way to See the Greek Islands

This cruise was part of a guided tour with a large international tour company. We started in Istanbul for a few days before joining the cruise when it arrived in Istanbul from Athens. As part of a larger group our on-shore excursions were organised by our tour director and we had no problems at all. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our outside cabin with window. It was larger than I ...

Great Way to See Greek Isles

We chose this cruise because we felt it was the best way to see multiple Greek islands with our limited time in Greece. Booking had several computer glitches, but customer service responded promptly. Embarkation was smooth, just as other reviewers wrote. Easiest ever for a cruise. You do leave your passports ( and you do get them back at them back at the end of the cruise), but I agree it ...

Worst Cruise ever

Review for Celestyal Crystal to Greece

We are seasoned cruiser's and world travelers. We fully understand that places outside the USA can be quite different since we have traveled to China (lived there for a total of 12 weeks) , Russia and many other countries. This cruise ship, and I have to assume company, are by far the worst we have encountered. Avoid this company unless you are prepared for very poor service, food and tours. Here ...
