First of all, if I had NOT been in the Royal Suite I may have rated this cruise 4 stars (but never 5 stars). And this review is probably only helpful to those people looking to book something other than the least expensive cabin. Because you need to book the cheapest cabin you can. Celebrity is our cruise line of choice and we like to sail in the larger suites. We do this not only because of ...

I came back to Quito with my 8-year-old daughter, plus a bus-full of new friends yesterday afternoon, with our new Galapagos skin (red, tanned, and slightly peeled) and our Galapagos heart (purified, fulfilled, and hopeful). Now, sitting in my room in JW Marriott, we are already missing "the Galapagos Grip", which we've enjoyed and trusted in the past 7 days of our voyage. The Galapagos is ...

An Awesome Experience

The Celebrity Xpedition Galapagos cruise was a great adventure that exceeded our expectations in so many ways. When they advertise that it’s all inclusive they really mean it. From the time we arrived in Quito 2 days prior to our flight to the Galapagos to the time we departed for home following a post cruise overnight stay, we were provided with meals, lodging, drinks, transportation, tours, ...

This was a once in a lifetime cruise to a pristine location where few are able to travel. If you like wildlife in a natural setting with a cruise line that knows how to do it simply and never miss a beat to excite and offer new opportunities, this cruise is for you. This small ship (100 passengers) affords passengers the opportunity to explore a world where animals have no natural predators and ...

Not luxury, it's a soft adventure.

Outer Loop.First off, this is not a Luxury cruise. Other reviews bemoaning the non luxury element did not heed the advise of others. Luxury price, yes, luxury extras, no. Tips: Bring extra plug in strip to charge stuff. No bright colors of anything for the Islands, wasps get angry. Hats are a must. When picking up snorkel gear get the suit first before the add- ons or your size may be gone. ...

Cruise included two night pre stay at the JW Marriott in Quito Ecuador. Hotel was very good. All meals included. Tour they gave us was not very good. Would have been better to have different options for tours. All transfers, drivers and most guides very good. Flight to Baltra good, plane a little cramped though. Transfer to ship went very smooth. We were in cabin 506 with a veranda, ...

Having just returned from our 10 day Quito and Galapagos experience, there are still visions of land and marine iguanas, blue-footed boobys and giant tortoises floating in our heads. What an experience! And Celebrity does it right. We flew into Quito and were met by Celebrity staff who directed us to our bus and on to the Marriott hotel which was a very fine place to stay. Check-in of the ...

Wonderful experience and one of the best cruises we’ve taken!!! I would definitely recommend doing this trip with Celebrity. Everyone else has written extensive reviews so I won’t go into all of the superlatives again. This is a fantastic trip and one that should be done while you are still physically active. We are both 68 and are glad we did the trip now. We did the Inner Loop, and I would ...

Going to this Galapagos cruise, I was very nervous about sea-sickness, inadequate staterooms or standard of food, etc. on the ship. None of these fears were realized. The stateroom (Suite 602) was very comfortable though admittedly smaller than I have experienced on several other Celebrity cruises. I did not experience any problems with the air conditioning in this room as had been reported in ...

Celebrity Xpedition and Galapagos Islands Our adventure began with 4 flights, glasgow/London/Miami/Quito/Baltra and two over nights. Miami overnight was in the Hilton at the airport. Okay hotel but we did not see much. The hotel in Quito was a traditional Ecuadorian hotel. We were not that interested in going into the City of Quito so stayed here. We very traditional and family owned and I will ...
