Disappointing Journey

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

After being 2 and 3-star Mariners on Holland America, my dad and I sailed on the Summit a year ago in August 2021 after we got a good rate and wanted to try Celebrity. We had such an amazing experience that we decided to take my mom with us on the Infinity due to timing/ports of call/etc.. I want to preface my review by saying that we went in knowing that it was a similar size ship to the Summit ...

Disappointing Celebrity Infinity Cruise of the Adriatic Sea

Disappointing Celebrity infinity Cruise of the Adriatic Sea Our recent cruise of the Adriatic Sea on Celebrity infinity was disappointing. We had just completed a seven day family cruise of the Western Mediterranean on Norwegian Epic and the difference in the quality of our experience between the two cruises was quite marked. We have been loyal Celebrity customers for well over ten years ...

Sadly, I won't sail with Celebrity again

I was disappointed in this cruise, and I don't think I will sail with Celebrity again. The food was nothing special at all; and we didn't think it was any better in the 2 specialty restaurants we tried. The cafe desserts never changed and were less than ordinary. We also didn't find the staff to be very friendly. They rarely smiled or tried to be pleasant it seemed. There were some ...

Celebrity Constellation. 10 day Greek Island Cruise.. August 2018

Saw the cruise advertised in the newspaper and it looked very appealing. The cost was just over £5000 but as my wife and I were about to celebrate "special birthdays" and wedding anniversary we thought we would treat ourselves to a "special Holiday". We even upgraded to concierge class for that little bit of extra luxury and service. None of which did we get. Flew to Venice via the private ...

Appalling Service and Very Disappointing Overall

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

This was our thirteenth cruise and our first on Celebrity. We were expecting a step up from our other cruises which have been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Princess, but we were sadly and utterly disappointed! I am not sure what the problem was but it seemed that every crew member, apart from our room steward, did not want to be there. They were uncaring, disinterested and, quite frankly, ...

Failed In So Many Areas

I will compare Celebrity to a recent similar itinerary on Oceania: 1) Guest trash left for hours on rooftop terrace and pool area. Never happened on Oceania 2) Staff service at pool and rooftop for drinks was almost non-existent on Celebrity 3) Oceania freely gave us good water during a hot cruise. Celebrity not only took away glasses at 3:00 for you to help yourself but nickled and dimed ...

Excessive noise in the cabin

Good itinerary, wanted to repeat some of the ports because they were so interesting when we did almost the same cruise in 2012. Had Aqua cabin 9056, never again!! The rolling of the carts and the loud noises, and what I can only describe as the dish machine whirring at 5 am every day made this not an enjoyable experience. We have been on Celebrity many times, have Elite status, and have never ...

Reconsider Your Choice of Cruiseline

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We had excellent experiences on two previous Celebrity Equinox sailings, but our last experience on the Constellation was not good. I no longer believe this is a premium cruiseline as advertised. Here are the problems we had: 1. No water in our stateroom on two separate days--took over an hour or two to fix. When I put this in my evaluation and talked with the Captain's Club ...

Not Much to Celebrate at Celebrity X

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

The overall impression we were left with during and following this cruise with Celebrity X was one of total dissatisfaction and based on this experience we will be exploring other cruise lines in respect of our future cruise choices. We shall certainly not be returning to Celebrity X. The quality of our dinning experience is an important aspect of cruising for us yet this cruise ship fell a long ...

We had reservations about sailing on celebrity as our first cruise did not go well. Arrived and embarkation was smooth and efficient. Off to a good start but down hill from there. First night we arrive after dinner started and went to buffet. Food was poor quality. Wide selection but not good taste. The fresh grilled salmon was decent. Breakfast was not much better only fresh fruit was good. We ...
