Avoid Santorini; OK Cruise Overall

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We chose to cruise with Celebrity for our Greek Island trip. We have been cruising for 15 years and have sailed with several other companies. Unfortunately, after flying to Venice, staying in Venice, cruising for a week, and spending a couple days in Rome after the cruise, the highlight of the trip was the disaster that happened on the island of Santorini. We arrived excited to take the ...

Nice ports of call, but....

Overall a really nice cruise with some great ports of call. The staff generally are really friendly, but I felt they lacked some training especially when serving drinks. There seemed a shortage of bar staff at times and quite often your choice of drink (premium package) was only available in a certain bar, which was not explained when taking the package. More than once, we ordered champagne only ...

The hottest cruise we ever went on

We went on this cruise which sailed on 28th May which was the first sailing in the year. An earlier cruise before ithe weather got too hot would have been much better - every day the temperature hovered around 27 - 29 degrees. The heat was scorching and combined with the dry shadeless places the ship docked, we found ourselves often staying back on the ship. It looks like the cruise business ...

Celebrity has gone down a few notches!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We chose this cruise because of the destination. We boarded the ship in Venice and overall check-in was very good. Our outside cabin was located on deck 2, right above the exit....You can imagine the noise we had to put up with. There were only 2 sea days, which means that we heard the noise 9 mornings out of 11. Even if we wanted to sleep in on some mornings, we could'nt. We were at the ...

Was Expecting Better

Having just taken a Holland America cruise (which I enjoyed very much), my expectations were high coming into this one. Unfortunately, it fell short in the biggest area for me, the food. First, let me start by saying that I thought the ship was very nice, with a bright, cheery decor. The staff was wonderful, the embarkation/disembarkation very smooth, the special performers memorable, etc. I ...

Ok cruise

An ok cruise definitely not my favourite have sailed with celebrity before and I think they have got very greedy charging extra for everything such as shuttles from ports like Sicily which are a dump so they know everyone will pay to go on trips or to the town. I was upset by a member of the dining staff who on two consecutive mornings said loudly I was eating too much butter I was completely ...

Disappointing for Celebrity!

We have been sailing with Celebrity for a number of years, and was pretty disappointed in this cruise! I know the ship was in dry dock this past Spring for upgrades, but the ship certainly did not reflect any! We were Aqua Class, however, it certainly was not worth the added cost! We (3 couples) found Blu to be quite disappointing this time around! Some evenings we went to Blu, but ordered ...

We chose the cruise because of the itinerary. We previously cruised on the Constellation in 2012. The ship is a bit tired, staffing needs improvement. Dining staff ineffective, they did not respond to the needs of our group. Dining experience was terrible, though the menu was average. Specialty Restaurant, Tuscan Grill was wonderful. Room Steward was great! Production shows ...

Fabulous Itinerary. Disappointing Ship.

I have to admit that I was spoiled by having been on the Reflection in January. Not only was the ship beautiful, but it had an amazing attentive staff. This ship was the functional opposite. Cleaning the room consisted of leaving every old half consumed item exactly where it had been left and service in the dining room meant waiting 20 to 30 minutes per course (which would be ok, if your ...

We've cruised Constellations 3 times and this will be the last one. We opted for Aqua Class and we were a little disappointed with the Persian Garden. It was noisey and had benches as opposed to individual beds with NO VIEW. Small area. Cabin was dated and looked a bit run down. You can see the wear and tear of the 17yr old ship. Musical entertainment minimal and they played for very ...
