Great cruise for ports of call but disappointing performance from Celebrity.

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

It was with misgivings we boarded this ship having been on the Millenium at the same age 2 years ago. However we were pleasantly surprised - yes, the ship does need a refit or a very major refurbishment but it was clean . (The Millenium was not in 2014). I will start with the good points as they are fewer. 1. Embarkation was good. 2. Our cabin steward was excellent (9037). 3. Adi, ...

The itinerary looked very interesting. The ship's tours are ridiculously expansive and the tour guides are not the best. Local tours are great from all points of view. However you should spend some time on internet to find them. Food in restaurants and in the main buffet is OK but there are pretty limited selections. The ship itself is not new but it is nice. There is a perfect organization to ...

This was our second cruise with Celebrity. Our group comprised my husband and I and our 21 year old son and 19 year old daughter. The itinerary was marvellous, we loved all the ports. "Connie" was great but not quite as good as Equinox. Felt a bit tired and dated and definitely more crowded somehow. A MUCH older crowd on board, again different to last year's cruise. I think this may have been down ...

We enjoyed this cruise on the Connie tremendously. We were in an Aqua class cabin and ate in Blu. Eating in Blu was like being in a specialty restaurant every night. It was gourmet and healthy food in an intimate setting. We even ate breakfast there as they promised to get us fed and out in 35 minutes. The ship and our cabin was clean and serviced well. We took this cruise for the itinerary in ...

Day 1 Venice, Italy Flights were OK despite there being a stopover and connection at Schipol (Barrhead Travel decided to lie about this when we booked as they told us the flight was direct). Coach for the transfer was about 10 mins walk away in searing heat. Transfer was about 20 mins. Off coach, pick up luggage and wheel up to scanner, leave luggage and walk up to check in. Pretty quiet, ...

We had reservations about sailing on celebrity as our first cruise did not go well. Arrived and embarkation was smooth and efficient. Off to a good start but down hill from there. First night we arrive after dinner started and went to buffet. Food was poor quality. Wide selection but not good taste. The fresh grilled salmon was decent. Breakfast was not much better only fresh fruit was good. We ...

Cruising has definitely changed over the last 20-30 years and not for the better. Activities on board are virtually non existent. Everything is geared toward getting you pay extra; whether it's overpriced drinks, gambling or insanely overpriced shore excursions and so called specialty restaurants. Food quality in the main dining room varied greatly from night to night. While a few entrees such as ...

The ports were fabulous, and the price was good! This was our first visit to the Dalmarion Coast! The ship was clean in public areas and staff helpful and friendly. Didn't attend celebrity theatre. Food at dinner was very good, service was excellent! Room was kept clean except for the bathroom, the floor and bathroom needed bleach and scrubbing. The room attendant was very personable and ...

A Very Mediocre Cruise

This was our 5th cruise with Celebrity and we chose this cruise for the itinerary. Unfortunately their standards have dropped dramatically and from the minute you step on board you are constantly bombarded with upgrading your drinks passage, booking speciality dining and booking another cruise. Anything to get your money! Embarkation went smoothly and our balcony stateroom was very clean but ...
