We took our four daughters, their spouses and our eleven grandchildren (ages 4 - 18) on an Adriatic and Italy cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. There were 21 of us altogether, and we picked Celebrity because of the family cabins (allowing people to a cabin, with the ability to create two separate sleeping areas, and the huge verandahs for the family cabins) and of course, the ...
The ship is showing her age. There is a lot of rust and too much of it has just been painted over rather than repaired and or repainted. There are so many shops on the fifth level that it seems more like a shopping mall (with a lot of overpriced products and push salespeople). The staff is nice and friendly, just as they are on most Celebrity cruises. The guest entertainers were pretty good, ...
chose this route as there was six of us and we all wanted to go to croatia, first the embarkation was very good streamlined, but having said that we did have quite a long wait at venice airport for a few stragglers and the celebrity agents didnt really know what to do it was hot when they eventually got us on the coach to the ship, they didnt even start the air con or offer us bottles of water ...
We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary especially the overnight stays in Dubrovnik and Malta. We had sailed on Celebrity Constellation many years ago and had fond memories. The ship still fits my choice of a traditional mid sized ship but the service was often mediocre and the class distinction has spoilt the happy relaxed feeling a cruise should have. The recent upgrades are ...
Chose because of port itinerary. Did a back to back from Venice to Rome and Rome to Barcelona. We always travel Aqua Class and found that this time in our first room which was 9090 and was also the same room for 2nd cruise was VERY NOISY.... 2nd cruise they moved us (because of noise) to 1120 where it was just as NOISY and we were not the only passengers to complain. I even opened up the door at ...
Embarkation was the poorest we have ever experiences in all our years travelling with Celebrity. The "priority line" was a joke. It took over an hour to check in and when complete it took them almost another 10 minutes to locate our cards. The head of Guest Relations made one excuse after another. Disembarkation was great...no wait especially being Elite.
The ship is okay for being as old ...
My husband chose the region he wanted to cruise for his retirement celebration. I researched all possibilities for Italy and the Adriatic coast and found that Celebrity Constellation had the best choice of ports and only two days at sea sailing on June the 5th 2017.
We chose our inside cabin mid -ship on the 7th deck which was near to the elevators and stairs and suited all our needs. We were ...
Pre-Cruise: We were a group of 8 adults traveling from Philadelphia and Boston to Venice. American Airlines had a very convenient non-stop from Philadelphia directly to and from Marco Polo Airport in Venice. Pre and Post cruise we stayed on the mainland at the Crowne Plaza Quarto d’Altino which was modern, not too expensive, and on a direct train line into Venice (3.40 euro and 25 min to St ...
We chose this cruise 2 years ago for its itinerary.
We did not manage last years cruise as it was fully booked so we were determined to secure a midships balcony cabin in June this year.
The ship has just been in for a refit so we were looking forward to the changes having previously sailed on Constellation in April. We were underwhelmed by the changes that appear to have taken place most ...
We had excellent experiences on two previous Celebrity Equinox sailings, but our last experience on the Constellation was not good. I no longer believe this is a premium cruiseline as advertised. Here are the problems we had:
1. No water in our stateroom on two separate days--took over an hour or two to fix. When I put this in my evaluation and talked with the Captain's Club ...
