About me: 7 prior cruises. Full-time wheelchair user. Somewhat active, wheeling several miles on a typical day. Middle-aged.
I found the Millennium surprisingly UNaccommodating to passengers who, like me, need a wheelchair to get around:
1) My wheelchair-accessible cabin had a ramp to get out to the balcony. Great. But NO ramp on the balcony side, just a 3.5" drop, making it unusable. I had ...
We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. This was supposed to be our dream vacation to a dream destination. Celebrity sells itself as upscale but are anything but. Their parent company RCCL provides a lot better experience.
Everything started out great. Embarkation went smoothly. We then got to our aft balcony room to find multiple holes in the curtain liner and $5+ for a bottle of ...
The only reason to upgrade to the Aqua Class is for the shorter line at check in. The "suites" are not multi-room, and the view is obstructed by the overhang of the deck above. It is, seriously, an obstructed view. And, since you are on deck 9, you get noises from the pool deck above all night long. Must be why all of the real suites were moved to deck 6.
The bathrooms are nowhere near Disney ...
We had a great experience on Infinity last Halloween, and were incredibly surprised at the drop in quality, exterior maintenance, and staffing shortages. I would give this review a 3/5, if not for the indifference and shortness at guest services, to a problem that may have been partially their fault. Excessive rust on the lower hull, and tender steps that I feel should be kept dry, freshly ...
We decided to take this cruise because of the Itinerary... The check in was quick although since we were returning a rental car in Vancouver, they had us going up and down couple of times until we got on the ship.
We were in cabin 7111 and our steward was great. No complains there.... The cabin was smaller than what we are used to based on their other ships, but it was OK... Bed - it was ...
I went with Celebrity to Alaska before with my mom, about a decade ago. It was great. I decided to go back with my mother-in-law, and it's not great.
Some elements of the cruise are just wonderful. But there is SO MUCH wrong that I really can't give it a better review.
The wonderful: Some of the staff. The problem is that it's only SOME of the staff. On multiple occasions, I had a ...
This cruise was recommended by our travel agent. We paid over $3500 Au for Concierge class and whilst the cabin was reasonably comfortable it certainly wasn’t luxurious.
Embarkation took over an hour as we had to wait whilst 2 ships passengers passed slowly through US Customs.
The ship is old and dated. The main dining area was overcrowded (sometimes nowhere to sit), the food was mediocre ...
Chose this cruise to see Alaska and the Hubbard Glacier. The Infinity is an older and smaller ship than others we'd been on and certainly had less to offer than the bigger ships. The main dining area felt claustrophobic and the buffet area was very difficult to maneuver through when busy. The cabin was clean but smaller than we'd had on previous Celebrity cruises. Entertainment was always great. ...
I would't suggest this trip for young people. Most activities on the ship was boring ..only good part was buffet. By end of the trip i checked my bank account and noticed that they took 260$ US for tips ! it was shocking because I wasn't aware of this charge and gave tips separately for service. Also AC in my cabin didn't work during 24 hr and they were fixing it whole day but they could't so we ...
Spent three days in Vancouver prior to the cruise. Embarkation was a nightmare, long queues. Carried our own bags when leaving therefore disembarkation went smoothly.
The ship is tired looking, cabin was clean although the curtains, bed valance were torn. Bathroom had a musty smell which was sorted by our cleaner.
Dining room was fine, great service and food was ok, ate here for breakfast ...
