Cruising the Wrong Direction & Invisible Captain

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

This was a boring and dull experience with an invisible Captain George. Saw him the first night and again at Captains Club event...then who knows where he was or what to expect each day of the trip?? This was the opposite from our experience with Captain Leo on the Eclipse - so friendly, visible and informative. Cruising in February to the Caribbean on this ship was so disappointing - a real ...

This was the first time cruising with Celebrity as our son was getting married on St. Thomas. We heard from so many people that Celebrity (Apex) is a step up from Royal Caribbean (which we have always cruised with) and that the food and service was so much better. Naturally our expectations were very high........boy were we DUPED! The service on this ship was pretty much non-exsistant. Service ...

We were planning a family cruise when we came upon Celebrity. We have primarily sailed with MSC in the Yacht Club (which I can't say enough about), but some of the family didn't have a yacht club budget and unfortunately, since we were going to spend time with family, we didn't think booking the yacht club was the right choice, because some of our family wouldn't be in the yacht club. My husband ...

Needs improvement

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

This was our first cruise with Celebrity, having cruised in the past with RC, NCL, and Princess. Our booking was messed up through the travel agent and we wound up booked in an Aqua Class cabin. The cabin itself was tired, worn, and needed maintenance. The mattresses had permanent dips and I flipped those over so we didn't have to sleep in as deep of a hole. Curtains were hanging off the rod, ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Ascent

We ended up on this cruise because Virgin Voyages cancelled our cruise with them with very little nice. We thought that being on the Celebrity Ascent, the newest addition to the Celebrity fleet as of December 2023 would be a great alternative. Instead, it was a massive disappointment. While we appreciated the modern amenities like the infinity balcony and motorized shades, several aspects fell ...

This ship needs work; physically and otherwise. It’s older; has seen better days but with some focus on improvement, it can come back to its past glory. Stateroom Temperature in room uncontrolled Had to ask for room cleaning first day Had to ask for towel replacement 3rd day (Found out later that our cabin steward quit unexpectedly 1st day) Food Great food selection in ...

We have cruised for about 15 years now and have sailed with Holland America, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Viking. This was our first cruise with Celebrity after hearing they are a class above we booked a four night to Cozumel out of Miami for our family of four. Boarding was easy, cabin standard size with plenty of storage. Dining option only one unless you pay extra and the food is ...

Let me just start by saying this was a 9 nights 10 days on this cruise...This is my 3rd cruise on a 3 different cruise ship thrpugh celebrity and I can honestly say I am very disappointed. for starters i would say the employees are not as friendly as the other ships we have been on before. The buffet is not all that great. Knowing we are visiting mexico we thought we would have something mexican ...

First and last celebrity cruise for us

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Beyond

User Avatar

It was recommended by friends so we tried the line and wanted to go on the newest ship. We’ve been on both Norwegian 2 times and Carnival once on the Mardi Gras. We did not enjoy the beyond. It had no comedy club and the buffet food was not as good as the other lines. The overall smell in the ship though (deck 5 smelled like a morgue was on it) ruined it. My teen kids were bored out of their ...
