Over the years we have done around 15 cruises and our last three have been with Celebrity and after the first two we have raved about them to our friends. The first one was 34 nights New Zealand and Australia in Feb/Mar 2015 on Solstice then last Aug/Sept on Equinox on the Med. Both these were excellent and that is why we booked the recent Transatlantic one on Eclipse.
We booked this to get ...
We are in our mid 50's & recently completed a 13 night TA on Eclipse, which was our 17th cruise overall and 7th with Celebrity, having also cruised with Crystal, Cunard, RCL, HA & NCL.
We are genuinely surprised by a couple of recent posts griping about food, entertainment etc......... Really ?
As far as we were concerned, quality, quantity and variety were excellent in both the MDR & the ...
We both wanted a serious break from running our on-line business and this was the ticket. Departed from Miami at 1630 on the 16th of April. Check-in was very smooth, line was long but we buzzed right through....very organized. Initially we were assigned to Deck 6 with a partially obstructed view, however a few days before the trip we were upgraded to a Deck 9 stateroom with a balcony. The room ...
We selected the Celebrity purely as leisurely transportation to Southhampton. There were other options available for the crossing, but this ship stopped at Bermuda and Lisbon which we wanted to visit. We had been on the Celebrity Summit last summer from Cape Liberty to Bermuda and loved it. Those two factors made this choice easy.
Embarkation from Miami could not have been more pleasant. We ...
This is our second time on the TA. We also did the b2b doing the Caribbean first. The ship and staff are incredible. The best ever. They became our family and we miss them all extremely. Jamie the hotel director lead from the front and seemed to be visible 24/7 he was amazing and due to his leadership the ship crew followed by example.our DR staff Alfred, Cajitan and Singh were wonderful tending ...
It was a good price and we wanted to go to Bermuda and usually love the transatlantic crossings. With an overnight in Bermuda, I thought we would have 2 days to enjoy our time there. However it was really less than 24 hours and the timing of our arrival was not great. Because it was still considered winter season, the ferry boats weren't running to St. George so most of our time was riding ...
This was our first transatlantic cruise and we were apprehensive about having 5 days at sea but we need not have worried, although the weather wasn't brilliant we enjoyed every moment of our cruise.
From the moment we checked in we were made to feel very welcome. Our balcony stateroom 8255 was ideally located and our stateroom attendant was superb.
The food was excellent we chose to eat on ...
First and foremost we chose this cruise simply because it was with Celebrity and we wanted to try a Transatlantic cruise. The food and service are outstanding! Even the buffet food was delicious with so much selection. There are lots of public areas but the one negative was that there were an astronomic number of Elite passengers who apparently have free drink coupons to use most evenings in ...
Great way to travel to The United Kingdom - had not been back to my hmeland for 18 years. Met some wonderful people on this ship. Loved the food and the Bacia Cafe.
Moonlight Sonata dining - some of the best moments of our cruise were at dinner with Marcil (Phillipines) and Shankmar (India) - beautiful people, extremely efficient, always smiling, terrific sense of humor. loving their job - ...
We were celebrating wedding anniversary. We found the ship well appointed in the common areas and the entertainment was excellent. We had a balcony cabin which was spacious, but lacked decent drawer space with no bedside cupboards only small shelves. The ship has no guest laundry and there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang any hand washing. On other cruise lines we have been provided with a ...
