Celebrity edge cruise

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Edge

I was very excited to cruise on the Edge, I had read all the celebrity promo and it looked fabulous. We had an internal room deck 11, this was very nice nothing to complain about. The drinks packages and Wi- fi packages are extortionate. I did feel that Celebrity are trying to extract every extra dollar that can from you. The excursion's are something you do not want to go near as they are ...

Nice ship but boring; and do the math

We've taken 4 Celebrity cruises, 2 in the last 6 months, but probably won't take anymore. Beautiful ships, good food and great service but BORING. I'm not sure they have the right target audience (we're in our late 60's). For example, very talented musicians play easy-listening playlists. Look at the audience; they are playing cards! Another example: they have crafts during the day but ...

Ok but spoilt by 3 issues.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Edge

The ship is lovely and the food is excellent . The entertainment was good and the staff are good. BUT, our day in Bay of Islands was ruined by poor tender arrangements waiting 4 hours to get off the ship, 1 hour to get back on and we missed our shore excursion. Also some ports the time was too short. Also NO drinking water in the cabins. These 3 points did spoil our opinion of Celebrity. ...

Beautiful ship, but far from perfect

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Celebrity Edge

+Ship is beautiful +Food is generally good in buffet and MDR +Fairly good availability of sun chairs +Quick embarkation and disembarkation +Great ports of call -Drink prices extremely high. USD 11 for a 33cl beer and USD 18 or 20 for a drink. And those drinks where horrible. Tasted a bit of bitter water without even a fruit or any kind of decoration to make it attractive in any way ...

WHERE DO I START?

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Edge

To start, the 'balcony' on my 'state room' was far from adequate. ...whoever came up with this design has little idea of what most pax require. One couldn't have the window lowered and the blind lowered at the same time....and with the window down, there was a double metal frame at eye level to impede viewing. But the worst was still to come on the night of day 1 around 0100. The incessant ...

We had travelled on celebrity before but inAqua class. This time we had a balcony The bathroom flooded twice and we were given a pamphlett not to put anything down the toilet that shouldn’t be there. I was annoyed as the blockage was in the sink and we put up with walking in a few inches of water for a whole day and no hot water in the sink either We booked dinner at a set time then they ...

There were many things to recommend about the trip/ ship, but a few things you should know. First, the good. The entertainment was pretty great. My cabin was just fine. The specialty restaurants had great food. The buffet was pretty good. The acupuncturist seemed excellent. A couple of the parties were very fun and memorable - like the one for crossing the equator - blackness all ...

Sick of Celebrity Cruises

We were using up a credit and this was the easiest cruise to get too. Cruising for us is mainly focused on the good beds and the variety of the eating venues. Both scored *. The bed was the worst we have ever tried to sleep on. Thin hard mattress, very uncomfortable. The free restaurants were the Oceanview Cafe Buffet , always the same menu with minor variations, dessert menu had lots of lovely ...

We sailed on this cruise as a family Christmas cruise, the ship is far from being in prestige condition, well due in of a refurbishment our balcony chairs had chips of paint missing one of the chairs the blot came out the little table has not seen a coat of varnish in years. All around the pool area they have only got sun lounges no tables and chairs even in the shaded areas the only tables and ...

First Time on this Line

Having cruised both NCL & Princess I was interested to see how Celebrity compared. First to the good points. Well decorated and very modern with clean lines, staff 10/10 both friendly and there when you needed them. The buffet was the best we’ve had on ships so far, both in variety and quality of food. Our cabin was well set out and comfortable bedding. The only specialty restaurant we went to was ...
