I chose this cruise because of the fact my tour group was interested in gathering with like minded people. I couldn't believe the odor on this ship (smelled like urine and a stale ashtray!) The ship stunk! The food was terrible and disorganized especially in the ocean view cafe. Nothing was where is should be, nothing made sense. Hamburgers and hotdogs outside were cold and laying in tins, ...
This is our 7th cruise and 3rd with Celebrity. What a disappointment. The worst part of our cruise was the foul smelling odour of sewage in our cabin #3128.
We could smell this near a bank of elevators midship from the beginning of the cruise, but mid way through our week it was coming into our cabin.
We reported this to Guest Services and they tried to blame our cabin steward for the ...
The San Juan itinerary has long been the stepchild of Caribbean itineraries, with the "Eastern" and "Western" routes out of Miami and Ft Laud getting all the flashy ships. San Juan, due to the shallow ports of the Windward Islands and I guess the fact that it sails out of a somewhat inconvenient port, gets the smaller, older ships. This is a shame since a cruise out of San Juan allows one to visit ...
We had booked several months ahead as an anniversary cruise. That was before the hurricanes hit.
Celebrity was no way ready to sail again after the hurricanes hit the Caribbean.
Embarkation horrible at the San Juan airport. In spite of us having paid for the ship transfers, we literally waiting in a line for 1.5-2 hours for the buses to arrive.
Our cabin was sufficient, concierge ...
This was our 10th cruise, our first with Celebrity. Our travel agent had, for years, recommended this line, and because it fit our timeline needs this year, we booked it. We found the cruise online and called our travel agent. Fortunately for us, she upgraded us to concierge class (we booked a balcony cabin, and concierge class gave us a few extra perks, but more on that later).
Maybe best ...
We chose this ship for the route only. This is an older ship and in need of dry dock refurbishing.
They touted this as a Fourth of July cruise. No fireworks anywhere near the port in Boston. Only an excursion to take you to the hundreds of thousands of Boston visitors.
Ports were lovely..
On the Concierger class, very little amenities.
Food was fair at best. A lot of mashed ...
I chose this cruise primarily for the date and location. I wish I had gone with Norwegian Breakaway that was there, docked alongside us at the same time. The Summit, docked next to the Breakaway, looked so sad and old. And it was sad and old. The average age was 70. And there is nothing wrong with that, but it is advertised much differently. Do yourself a favor, if you are under 55 or you want to ...
This was a 7 night milestone birthday cruise we planned in July 2016 for April 2017. We had already been to 2 of the 5 islands, but were anxious to see the other 3 islands. The whole thing kind of slowly fell apart beginning in March 2017 when we were advised the cruise had been shortened to 4 nights (ship was in dry dock for Rolls Royce engine propulsion problems, common with this ship class we ...
Do not book if they want to put you in concierge room 8114! This cabin is adjoined to the sewage line. Our bathroom smelled of raw sewage constantly. We also had no water pressure in the shower. I resorted to using the spa showers since there was no control over those facilities. The passenger to crew ratio is way too high! Lots of complaining crew members. Overcrowded bars so getting a drink ...
We chose the cruise for it's perfect duration (5 days) to an area we felt we would enjoy. The week before departure, we were informed that it would leave a day late due to mechanical problems. This cannot be helped, but was very disappointing. They did pay for our accomodations in San Juan, and reimburse the day we missed, and an additional sum valued at half of a day as additional ...
