This is our 3rd cruise with Celebrity and we chose Southern Caribbean this time to enjoy some warm weather and new ports of call. The ports weren't anything special but we had a wonderful time onboard.
When we first arrived at the port I realized I had forgotten to print out our boarding passes-no problem-show them our passports and we were checked in in 5 minutes.
We chose Suite 6133 and loved ...
Once arriving on the ship, we had a wonderful vacation. The food and service in Bleu were excellent, the entertainment fantastic and the excursions well organized and of good value.
My only complaint was that of housekeeping. We were staying in a spa suite (although that should not matter). The following occured
- had to ask for water and fruit refills,
- never enough towels two people should ...
Just returned from our seven day voyage....Went to San Juan to relax for three days prior on the Condado Beach. Had an Aqua class cabin which we love with its extra perks of free Persian Garden, free water at any time, free tea in the room, free canapés every night, and most of all eating in the wonderful restaurant Blu. We choose this trip because of the ports and only one sea day and warm ...
This was my tenth cruise and second on Celebrity. My husband and I were looking for a warm winter getaway and the Southern Caribbean itinerary was just the thing.
We arrived a day early and spent the night at Courtyard Marriott Miramar in a quiet, more residential neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and a movie theater nearby. The next morning we walked across the bridge to Condado to go to ...
We are a late 50's couple who have taken over 20 cruises. We live in upstate New York, and like to get away for a bit during the winter.
This cruise went out of San Juan, with stops in St Croix, St Kitts, Dominica, Grenada and St Thomas.
Prior to departure, we prebooked our shore excursions, and filled out all our preboarding information online. We received our preprinted luggage tags about 3 ...
We sailed on a Southern Caribbean Cruise out of San Juan. We had read mixed reviews of the Summit and weren't quite sure what to expect (we'd sailed twice on the Constellation and thoroughly enjoyed it), so we were happy to find we really liked the Summit. There were some spots where she was showing her age, but overall the ship was looking good since the recent refurbishments. She is a smaller ...
First let me say was not our first cruise even though it is my first review on this Site. We are in our mid 50's. We have been on NCL, Royal Caribbean and Costa in the past. We had never been on Celebrity before. Before going on this cruise, I was a little concerned that some reviews mentioned this ship was worn and showing her age. That was not our opinion at all nor the other couple we cruised ...
With 16 cruises under my belt and every one of them scheduled to fly in on the day of embarkation, it was bound to happen. We missed the boat due to last minute flight changes and de-icing. I've learned to just roll with the punches and make the best of the situation, and fortunately my husband is the same way. Long story short, we met the boat in Barbados after they had the first day at sea. We ...
We did back to back weeks during Christmas/New Year's 2014-2015 in the Caribbean out of San Juan. We had been on the Summit before. Somehow, the ship's infrastructure has declined considerably. The plumbing was malfunctioning continually, creating a pervasive odor on many decks. While we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves, we have to remark that this ship needs extensive refurbishment.
The ...
A classic Southern Caribbean itinerary of Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Thomas. We enjoyed the more refined and less kid-oriented feel of Celebrity vs. RCI (12/2013). Buffet food was all very well executed, and the service was excellent. Dining room food was all very good, with varied menus throughout the cruise. Embarkation and disembarkation were pretty comparable to past cruise ...
