We selected this cruise because the itinerary was ideal. We had a friend whom had never been to the islands and this cruise had everything that we wanted.
We arrived in San Juan a couple of days before the cruise and stayed close by the cruise port and Old San Juan. It turned out to be ideal. In hindsight I’m glad that we had left early seeing more than 70 persons missed the departure and many ...
The cruise itself was excellent. We were traveling with some friends that we’d met several years earlier while cruising. The only major issues were not with the cruise itself but with the transport from the hotel to the ship. Celebrity was to have left a welcome letter for us but did not do so,nor did they inform the hotel what time pick up would occur. It took several phone calls to Celebrity ...
Departing from San Juan was fine, but not sure i would choose this departure point again. Over 70 people missed departure because of weather and limited connections. At least in Florida you have a number of airports to choose from if required. however, the embarkation and debarkation were handled smoothly and efficiently and I really dont see how it could have been improved.
Celebrity Summit is ...
Chose this cruise slightly randomly , we were looking for something in the carribean on specific Jan dates to celebrate a birthday and wanted a quality boat. Having never cruised we thought we would go for a suite I had no clue as to what benefits this entailed until I actually got onboard .....what an absolute result this was.
We got included :-
WiFi for 2
Drinks package which we ...
Overall we had a great cruise and we find Celebrity to be elegant. However, our stateroom was the smallest we've ever had on a cruise. We travelled with our 10 year old daughter and when her bed was pulled out we couldn't get out on our balcony. However we enjoyed the large balcony in stateroom 7080 due to the placement on the ship. Our stateroom attendant was great.
The ship is beautiful ...
The San Juan itinerary has long been the stepchild of Caribbean itineraries, with the "Eastern" and "Western" routes out of Miami and Ft Laud getting all the flashy ships. San Juan, due to the shallow ports of the Windward Islands and I guess the fact that it sails out of a somewhat inconvenient port, gets the smaller, older ships. This is a shame since a cruise out of San Juan allows one to visit ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary. It was changed a couple of times as we could not go to St Croix or St Maarten because of hurricane damage. Celebrity opted for St Kitts and Martinique in place of those two. We weren't disappointed. I have been on 8 Princess Cruises, 3 NCL, 1 Royal Caribbean. This ship by far offered the best entertainment. We saw a comedian, a magician, 3 Divas and a ...
Not having any plans to celebrate New Years Eve, we decided to take advantage of some very favorable pricing and offers for the 12/30 sailing, and we were not disappointed in the least. We originally considered a standard veranda stateroom, but then found that Celebrity was offering some very aggressive pricing for the upgraded Aqua Class cabins. Let me state that if there is not a significant ...
We chose this sailing for the fact that it was over New Years Eve.
The Ship seemed in good shape with very few issues.
We were in a Celebrity Suite which was amazing.
We dined in Luminae, the Suite Dining room and the Service was above board. Kusawa the Waiter couldn't have been more helpful. Especially on the ne night were we didn't want any of the choices on the Menu. He got the main ...
Our 3rd celebrity cruise, 2nd on an M class. Service and staff are excellent as always but the ship is dated. Food in the MDR is mediocre. Beverage packages are designed to exclude popular drinks especially the non-alcoholic package. Pools are small and overcrowded especially on seadays. Some cabins still have shower curtains. Celebrity needs to up its culinary game. Maybe offer the menu ...
