We were in a Veranda suite 6091. Unfortunately, it looks right down on the lifeboats. First trip to the pools. Unfortunately, impossible to find lounge chairs and anyway the pool was a mob scene. Crowded is an understatement. When we finally did catch a lounge chair they were totally uncomfortable anyway. Signage on this ship is very poor. We quickly tired of wandering this way and that trying to ...
We have sailed on the Summit 3 years in a row in the Royal Suite. The first two times We absolutely loved the cruise to Bermuda, a place we visit yearly. The first time on Summit was the same as all the celebrity cruises we had and loved starting from our first in 1982 on the Zenith. The second cruise on Summit was even nicer than before, with the introduction of Michael's Club and Luminae to ...
Chose this cruise because we wanted to visit Bermuda. We chose the Celebrity Summit because we had such a great experience on the Solstice last summer to Alaska. The two ships could not be any more different. Service on the Summit was severely lacking. The crew was understaffed and disorganized. There were long lines at the buffet and getting a drink at one of the bars or lounges was a ...
My husband booked this cruise. I had sailed on Royal Caribbean cruises before. I was largely disappointed. We had a hard time getting a table to eat at the restaurant on our first day. When we were finally seated by the window, I gasped. We were unable to see the sunset because the window was filthy. Internet service is a complete scam. I felt always solicited as soon as I boarded for ...
Too Long; Didn't read version of this review: Celebrity has seriously understaffed this ship, and the service suffered significantly. In addition, the entertainment has gone from "alright" to "I think this is the Nursing Home" with regards to the events in the main "club". Avoid this ship, and possibly Celebrity, if this refresh of the Summit is where they're going with their cruise ...
First, the good: nice ship architecture, pretty good buffet, GREAT entertainment, nice fellow guests, kids had a great time.
Now the bad: surly employees, worst service I've ever experienced on a ship (10 cruises all over world), food decent at best, constant and harassing sales pitches to buy the drink packages.
Truly the worst service I've ever experienced - meal was half over before ...
This was our fourth cruise. Previously, we have gone on Disney (2) and Royal Carribean. It was a last minute decision and we were able to sail for about $699 per person, being able to sail out of NJ when we live in PA, and the longer stay in port were our main motivations for choosing this particular cruise.
Before I list my pros and cons, I'll just say, I am not a hard person to please. ...
I would like to begin by saying I am not normally a complainer. We have cruised before on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian, and thought we had a pretty good idea what to expect from a cruise, but I have to say this was a very disappointing cruise experience, so bad, that my husband and I considered getting a flight home from Bermuda instead of enduring the remainder of the cruise.
1. We booked as ...
I love to sail Celebrity. This was my first and last cruise on the Summitt. It was not up to Celebrity standards. My husband and I have sailed on almost all the Celebrity ships and we are Elite plus members. The food, service and room was far below standard for Celebrity.
I took this cruise with my two daughters, wanting to show them how great this line was, well they were very ...
We took our grandson on the celebrity summit to bermuda as his high school graduation present. We have sailed celebrity many times before and enjoyed it but, this was not true for this trip. The food was very good as we've had in the past but that was the only good thing. The cruise was extremely boring and the average age of cruiser's seemed to be 55 plus. The few younger people our grandson did ...
