Our first Celebrity cruise! We are very seasoned cruisers, and chose this Bermuda trip to relax and experience the Celebrity approach. The ship may be older, but it was in excellent condition and quite clean. Our balcony stateroom accommodations were roomy and very comfortable. This cruise featured a three day stay on the island.
The highs were the friendliness and kindness of most staff, ...
Wanted to return to Bermuda, avoid air travel and the exorbitant hotel and restaurant prices. Cruising from Bayone, NJ just a car ride away. We opted for Concierge class cabin, had a great veranda but at first thought the cabin a little small, unrealistic expectations, but was comfortable and well taken care of. The Summit is due for a multi million dollar overhall but the negative reviews about ...
This is my 5th Cruise with Celebrity (2nd on Summit). The ship seems a little better this year. Last year it was worn out (ripped chairs, etc). They are going to re-do the entire ship in Feb 2019 so that will be a big improvement. It really needs it. The ship lacks the "wow' factor that the other Celebrity ships have. Its very plain and dated. State rooms are okay except the outdated bathrooms ...
I purchased a martini flight and wine tasting in advance. Fortunately I brought the payment confirmation from Celebrity but they initially refused to honor them, requested paper work then “lost” paper work but I was on to them by then and had photographed it before turning it over - they eventually gave me what I paid for but I wasted hours arguing with them. It was a very annoying way to spend my ...
Cruise was low end cost, reasonable. Just a get away with friends. We are seniors and not able or want to do crazy activities. Bermuda is a pretty place to visit. We did not see a lot there and better to go to a hotel and tour all around Island then cruise. You are limited on the cruise to time issues. If you are unable to use a moped which is the main way of getting around, is not good. You ...
We were on this cruise as part of a large group for a Bermuda wedding. This was our first time on Celebrity (cruised multiple times with RCCL and Carnival). People in our group ranged from teens to 70s. Embarkation was super easy and we were on the ship within about 30 minutes after leaving our car.
The ship itself is fairly old but they've actually done a pretty good job at keeping it looking ...
My sister and her husband suggested it. So I booked an extra cabin for my son and his girlfriend. The service people at dinner were excellent They were Leeford and Elvis. Each night we went to dinner, they made us feel special. They were very accommodating. The activities on board were lacking, and you had to pay for some activities. I think when you pay as much to cruise, you should have ...
We choose this cruise for the ports but were disappointed by the overall experience. Check in was delayed a bit because while I did the on line check in ahead of time I didn't try to print my paperwork until the day or two before and the site had shut down. Had I known it was going to do that I would have printed it out earlier but how would I know to do that. We went to our room and found that ...
MDR food selection terrible, especially for Jewish travelers, who should not eat seafood or pork products. And we don't notify ahead for a special menu, since when you mention "Jewish" or "Kosher" at the table, there are often folks who shun you, and not a few of them, especially the Israel-haters. Larger portions and wider variety on Carnival, Cunard and RCL past cruises. Excellent waiter ...
We chose this itinerary for our summer family cruise for four. We knew that Celebrity wouldn’t be the best choice for having lots of extra kids activities onboard, however, everyone including the kids (7 & 11) wanted to go to do this unique itinerary. We had previously sailed on a ten night Horizon (horrible) and an eleven night Silhouette (awesome).
Boarding was super quick and efficient. ...
