I chose the Celebrity Summit out of Bayonne because of the itinerary(Rhode Island, Martha's Vineyard, Charleston, and 2 days in Bermuda). I live in New York and I love sailing out of Bayonne. This was my second sailing with a celebrity(the first was on Beyond), I knew this was an older ship so my expectations were limited. I couldn't book my usual balcony so I was a little concerned about being in ...
We chose cruise because son and family had week off, requested us to join him and it was no fly for us, We made our reservations a couple of months before sailing date and were unable to secure early dining so relegated to anytime dining. And they would not take reservations so scheduling dinner each night with a 3 year old was a major annoyance. But we never had to wait more than 15 minutes. ...
Our 9 day cruise was much better then expected. We chose Summit because of the ports and we can drive to the terminal.
Embarkation- We arrived at the terminal around 11:30 for our noon boarding time, scanned boarding pass then walked onto the ship. The process took under 10 minutes.
Dining- We ate in the MDR 7 nights and the experience was very good. The food was well ...
As always Celebrity delivered a good cruise. We were in a Celebrity and sure lots of perks and they were great. Ship is clean and well maintained since it refurbed not to long ago but she is aging and you can see.
Officers were all over the place making their presence seen to all passengers. Seem genuine in asking what our thoughts were.
Luminae was great. You can order off any menu. ...
Both good and bad – this was the 2023 repositioning cruise from Miami to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao returning to Bayonne, NJ. Overall, the cruise was excellent however there are certainly some very significant highlights to mention, both pros and cons. First, we were in Aqua Class. Great location at the top of the ship Aft. No one above us and the buffet and outdoor bar below but the cabin was ...
Needed a short get away.
We took my wife's daughters.
Liked how you go through the check n process - very smooth.
Life boat drill - watch the video and go to your muster station to check in.
Key west was nice - lots of walking as I got turned around a few times looking for places.
There are a lot of bars are there and Hemingway seemed to go to every one of them.
Hemingway house ...
We pick this cruise because it is a Charter Music Cruise which can't be beat!! But I will focus on the ship itself. We had a Conscierge Suite (3rd time) & we do like it. The bathroom is updated with a glass enclosed decent shower & vanity. Our room steward gave us excellent service & kept the room spotless....we seldom saw him. The balcony is quite small but easily sat two people out there. We ate ...
We'd been sooo looking forward to this cruise cuz of the entertainment, "Fingers Felder" headlining, lotsa others like Moody Blues John Lodge & Jon Davison (John Jr I called him), The Orchestra dong ELO, etc. Those 3 were great, but not as easy to meet & greet AS HOPED. You pay a lotta $$$ to see these stars. Queen Nation was wonderful to hear & also to get autographs & pics with, John Lodge did ...
We got back a week ago from the 5 day Key West/ Cozumel cruise and we enjoyed all of it.
The ship is smaller about 2200 people which means it was never overly crowded anywhere. It is very well maintained and clean. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
Our cabin (Aquaclass) was more than comfortable enough for the 2 of us. And it came with a bottle of bubbly for us to enjoy ...
I actually won this cruise in a sweepstakes giveaway. The ship was very well maintained and clean. All ship staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. Decor of the ship wasn't very good. Sculptures and airwork around ship was very dull. What was the worse about this cruise was the food. Didn't go to any of the specialty dining but the grill by pool, the buffet, and the main dining room the food ...
