I am afraid that we can no longer celebrate Celebrity!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

My wife and I have been loyal Celebrity cruisers for many years now, going on 6-7-8 (?) different cruises. We always felt that Celebrity knew, understood, and tended to their older-demographic customer base---till now. We were very much looking forward to this, our first post-pandemic cruise, but as it turned out, not as much as we looked forward to the cruise ending! Let me ‘bullet-point’ the ...

Horrible Food

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

I just went on a Celebrity Summit cruise and the bathroom had a really smelly sewage smell. We were shown several rooms that also had that same smell. The room attendant said that the pipes needed to be fixed. I also experienced the same smell in one of the whirlpools. The food in the buffet made me really sick, maybe that’s because the chefs do not wear any gloves when they prepare the food. I ...

Terrible food

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

First, the thermostat in our room never worked and was “repaired” 3 times. But food was the real problem. The cafeteria food was universally greasy, except personal omelets by Don Hyndryx. The restaurant was unable to serve the meager choices on its own menu. I ordered roasted pork loin and was served ham, and salad Nicoise with “French onion Dijon” dressing was served with the usual choices ...

Terrible experience

The cruise started with bad test in my mouth. When we arrived at the ship, we dropped our carry on and want to the excursion desk with questions. The excursion desk agent was very unhelpful when I asked too many(?) questions about the programs. Not only unhelpful, he brushed me off to go to next day’s information session. Then he went to behind the partition said, “Oh my god” so loud my sister and ...

We had a Royal Suite. Our 20th cruise but our first suite. Treated like royalty. We were met at the registration desk by Anka and she escorted on to the ship to Michael's club to meet Manuela our Concierge. No waiting in line it was super. The rooms were not ready yet so we left our carry on luggage with her and went to have a drink and explore.. When the rooms were ready we headed off to our ...

BLOOD on the bedspread

I chose this cruise based on general feedback from a few friends. I was more than disappointed to say the least. Finding BLOOD stains on the bedspread on arrival to our stateroom was disgusting. Not the way you want to start a 9 day cruise. The food was aweful on board. I'm not a food critic but the food in the main dining room was terrible. NO flavor. It seemed like the wait staff were ...

Went with a Group of friend's and family. Entering the Summit you have your photos taken and then are smothered by a man wanting desperately to sell you an ALL you can eat lobster dinner. Making very clear it is all you can eat lobster when I asked, Can I truly have all I can eat lobster? It is just a $45 up charge. Not bad until you get to the dinning room and it turns out to be all you can eat ...

The embarkation was very well planned and organized. We have been on several cruises in the past before with similar embarkation. Room: We were in room 7158 a balcony room, not one time did I ever sit out there for 2 reasons, one because of the odor, like come chemical smell and second we had no idea when booking this cruise there was going to be equipment we had to look at. We had mold ...

What a disappointing vacation!

We chose this cruise because we love Bermuda and have had great experiences on Celebrity in the past. However, the room was shabby - mildew on shower curtain, glazing badly worn on bathroom mirror. Room stewardess very unpleasant. However, the worst part was that neither the booking agent for Celebrity (we booked direct) nor Bermuda Tourism told us that during the cricket matches, all of ...

Wanted to take my family to Bermuda. Normally go with Carnival or NCL. Took 11 year old son, Wife, Parents and Aunt and Uncle to try out Celebrity. They ran a great offer that included gratuities, drinks and onboard credit. Took five trips to Concierge class office to make them stop adding gratuities to the bill. One of the Perks should have been free oxygen tanks because the average age on ...
