The ship was great the captain was fantastic was involved in lots atctivities The Cabin was great The service and staff was excellent The tenders to the ports was very bad we had to wait a very long time it's was to far away for the port Shore excursions very expensive but had a fantastic time Entertainment was not enough need to be more Didn't have a laundry place on the boat so a family can do there laundry The laundry offer was very expensive for everyone We travel as a big group of 20 Yes we will go again I was absolutely blown away with this company, I loved everything about them. The best part for me was the drinking package and service I received. The food was perfect. I loved the fresh salads, always fresh fruit, many choices for lunch and dinner. The desserts were beautifully presented by a very exuberant pastry chef Read Less

This was not a 14 day cruise it was a 13 day cruise spending the last day and night in Hong Kong harbour.Where we left from. 1 The shows were below standard 2 The food was poor with the exception of 3 meals, which were excellent 3 The stops were impossible to experience night life or night markets with exception of Hanoi which was a 7.5 hour return trip by taxi or bus, unless you spent the night in a hotel in Hanoi, extra expense. 4 The entertainment on board, should you not wish to leave the ship in port, was non existent 5 You were not given any alternative information re travel should you not wish to take excursions eg Taiwan, there was a train direct. 6 There were no cooking classes re the food of the countrys we visited. 7 The state rooms were excellent. We had a beverage package, and drank cold drinks from the mini bar in our state room, they dont tell you this is not part of the beverage and charge you ,which is foolish,as you can order drinks at any bar and bring it down to your room.I did query this and they reversed the charges. 8 The service was excellent and the staff were excellent 9 Embarkation and Disembarkation excellent 10 The visibility of officers and captain, were unique, the captain was even down stairs in disembarkation wishing us all well. In all with the exception of staff and offices stateroom and captain a very poor cruise, which i would not recommend to any one,the worst cruise ever.We have travelled on Cunnard,Princess,Crystal,MSC,Costa and more, this was the worst. Summit is an older ship, but makes up with great service, food and entertainment. We booked an Aqua Class stateroom because we love eating in Blu. Also loved Captain Kate’s personality - perfect for the typical Celebrity cruiser. I enjoyed her “thought for the day” she shared with us each day. I also loved she shared her journey up the ladder with Celerity to become Captain. The entertainment was very special as we enjoyed singers and dancers plus the group Our Guys - four great singers. The acrobatic performance was entertaining too. I wanted to also compliment the band playing at the Captains cocktail party too as they were super talented and loved choice of music played. I would like to suggest when renovations are made to staterooms that a better quality mattress be installed in each room! One more item to share is in Martinique excursion on Panaramic bus tour. The tour guide was great, but I have a real concern about driver who took phone calls while driving us around the narrow mountains roads; making me feel uncomfortable. Read Less

This was our 4th cruise with Celebrity and our 2nd on the Equinox. We were disappointed how much Celebrity has changed in the last 2 years - Food quality and quantity has suffered, attention to detail is also down (dirty dishes on 3 occasions, burnt toast almost every morning in the Blu restaurant, etc). Reduction in staff on board was apparent on almost every level (I must admit that the staff on Celebrity is outstanding - when you can find them). Ports - 1) Our stop at Puerto Maya was pretty much a waste of time - the “port” consists of a Disneyland-like group of shops surrounded by a wall topped by barbed wire. We did take the Chacchoben ruins excursion (the ruins were very interesting) but one can visit Mayan ruins from other ports. 2) Our snorkeling trip in Belize took us directly from the ship to the reef which would have been ok except it consisted of a snorkeling “tour” - basically 30 plus snorkelers following (or trying to follow) a fast swimming guide. At no time we were allowed to explore on our own and at the end of the tour the guide headed off toward the boat leaving several struggling and exhausted swimmers (myself included) on there own to try to get back as best they could. It’s an amazing reef but this definitely not the way to see it. Food - Murano restaurant was again amazing and we ate there twice. Buffet consisted of lots of overly aggressive passengers pushing and shoving their way to the head of the line. I was once elbowed so hard by an other passenger that I almost fell over. Two members of the serving staff saw this incident but refused to do anything when I asked them to call security -they simply shrugged their shoulders and looked the other way. Afternoon canapés delivered to the stateroom were a “joke”. Beverages - incredibly agressive selling of beverage/liquor packages by all members of the crew! How many times do you have to say “ No, we don’t drink that much alcohol!”? Other - They still have those tacky art auctions on board but they are less evident. Beginning cruise safety drill now consists of a “pseudo James Bond” film that insults the intelligence of most of the passengers. To add insult to injury, it is shown on small scattered video screens that few passengers could see. Overall impression - we have always loved Celebrity but this is our last cruise with the line. We will be seeking another cruise line for our next adventure. Read Less

Itinerary very good. Most shows were very enjoyable.....specially the vocal ones. Jane. Curry stood out as usual. Both her performances were amazing. Her wonderful voice combined with vitality were indeed remarkable. But the other singers were excellent as well.. did not enjoy the last night comedy show nor the ships crew shows except the acrobats who were very. skilled. The magician was good. Wish they would find. new words. for the Liars Club....every cruise they have the same ones ...so boring as we know all the answers ...so not funny anymore Read Less

Our first experience of Aqua class was good. Select dining was fully booked and we like to choose our own time, so we booked Aqua class. We loved being in a smaller restaurant and the staff were great. However, the food was a bit lacking in quality a couple of times (we were offered to choose something else but on those days the choice was not good. There were too many “shredded meat dishes” and I wouldn’t expect beef short rib to be shredded and put in huge pasta cases. A quarter size of that portion of whole short ribs would have been much better. It should always be Quality>Quantity. We liked the intimacy of Blu. 5 of our 10 dinners were in Speciality Restaurants, 3 in Murano (our favourite) and one each in Qsine and Tuscan Grille. The quality and service in those restaurants were all very good – hence our frequency to visit. Celebrity could avoid waste by giving an option for smaller portions in portions in Qsine (often too large for 2 sharing) and in Tuscan the steaks were too big for me (need a smaller portion option). We also took one of the “mixed” speciality lunch options (nothing better than a long/quality lunch on a sea day! Use of the Persian Garden steam and aromatherapy were a blessing to me as I caught a cold on the first day . I visited the steam and aroma room most days to help keep my sinuses and chest comfortable for breathing. I believe I caught that cold (first in 3 years!) by using the Oceanview self service restaurant on 1st lunchtime when people were loaded up with their hand luggage waiting for cabins to be opened. People are asked to gel hands on entry (but not everybody does). I am a fervent user of gels on ships but as some people aren’t, the consequences of multiple people using the same tongs causes problems. My mistake was taking a Poppadom with tongs and then picking it up with my hands to eat it (after using the tongs). If there were gel stations inside Oceanview I would use them after using the tongs, not just when going in. Gel dispensers should also be available inside the restaurant (at least one each side of the coffee/tea areas) at the door of Oceanview is not enough! Only having Gel stations at the doors of other restaurants is fine because you won’t be touching tongs used by other people and so using gel once your own hands would be fine (as would then be picking up your own roll with your hands)! I prefer ships that serve you (and don’t allow people to poke the food around and make a mess) and those ships also seem to have gel stations inside the buffet restaurants as well as at the door. The alternative is to give access to cheap disposable plastic or paper hand covers that people like me would use. There is insufficient customer space in the Al Bacio Cafe on 5. However, the Sushi bar was never busy and that space should be incorporated into the cafe. If there is a need to pursue more revenue then adding some premium/chargeable items of food could compensate for use of the space. Our stateroom attendant was meticulous, which was great. Our intention was to get away somewhere warm, restful and easily from Southampton – that was achieved. We are not big on being entertained but went to the “Cirque du Soleil & Sea monster show on the last night – that couldn’t have been better! Read Less

This was our first time cruising with Celebrity and first time in Hawaii! Overall we really loved the cruise! We had five days at sea and loved the relaxing, slow paced days! We could be as busy or as not busy as we wanted... it was wonderful! We loved exploring Hawaii and we thought doing that via a cruise was awesome! It was nice being able to spend at least a day or two in each place and take the time to see all we could. Each evening after exploring the islands we were excited to go back on the ship as it just felt like home! We loved that! We heard the food would be absolutely amazing on this ship and we didn't necessarily be the case. The food in the dining room was good, but not jaw dropping. We did love the buffet and thought the breakfast was amazing... fresh waffles with whipped cream? Yes, please! We missed having more "typical" foods in the buffet and dining room.. perhaps thats the point with a higher class ship, but we missed some of those comfort foods. Don't forget to try the free pastries and treats at Cafe El Bacio- they were amazing and I didn't learn about them until our cruise was almost complete. You cannot get those same pastries and tarts anywhere else on the ship. YUM! Don't miss out! Overall our service was amazing.. people were ready and willing to help whenever and wherever they could! The only place we had a bit spotty service was in the dining room. We had a different server every evening and some were great and some were not so great or friendly. I think they were just busy, but there was definitely a noticeable difference. We would definitely cruise on Celebrity again and had an AMAZING cruise, but don't think we will make Celebrity our go-to cruise line. Norwegian felt to be on a similar scale to use with more restaurant options! But we really did love this cruise! Hawaii was incredibly beautiful and we loved visiting many islands! Read Less

We explored Ketchikan ourselves and ,did a tour in Juneau and Skagway. We enjoyed our tour especially the Mendenhall Glacier, amazing nature. The ship is clean and so classy, we watch the Tracy arm fjord at the sky lounge very comfortable. Our cabin is bigger than we've expected plus with the window very nice and clean. Thanks to Joaquim for making our stay easy . Our waiters at Epernay dining were so attentive, thanks to Jackie and the guy I forgot his name. table 144.oceanview is good. And thanks to the Tuscan grill crew, we really enjoyed our last night there. Activities and entertainment were good .the we love the music. Service is good, and the ports is ok. Read Less

The whole boat was clean and very good looking. I couldn't walk 15 feet without a crew member smiling and politely greeting me. I loved the activities and shows. There is enough food onboard to feed an army, and the best part is that most of it is free of charge. There is so much onboard entertainment, you name it, from movies to comedy shows, they have it. I didn't participate in any, but there were numerous activities for the homosexual individuals. I loved the diversity on the ship, there were so many crew members from so many different countries. In the Ocean View buffet, there were so many different types of food from so many different countries. The cruise had an X-Club for the teens. Although it sounds lame, it was actually an amazing experience for my daughter. She went for the first few days and made friends. After making friends, they hung out everywhere on the ship. They could choose what activities they wanted to go to. The Ocean View cafe had amazing food choices, and the sky lounge had amazing views and an aesthetic appearance. The entire ship was so big and luxurious. I felt like royalty. The crew were all respectful and friendly. They lived to serve you. I would love to live on this cruise until I die. Everyone was so friendly. This was an amazing experience. I loved it!!! Read Less

We sailed on the 2 day trial cruise May 2015, it was so good, we booked again this year and recommended it to our friends, each couple paying £800 to include the classic drinks package in Aqua Class. Iglu assured us this would cover all normal beers and wine this was serious mis selling it only really included very basic beers (for example not Corona beer) and no wine. This was exasperated by our card not being marked as to the package we were on and there were no lists of what was or wasn't included and nothing on our booking confirmation, some staff told us it covered drinks up to $6 and others said $9 this was only confirmed by trial and error at the till, we were forced to ungraded to Premium drinks package at a cost of $96 per couple but we shouldn't have bothered as the drinks confusion was ship wide, every bar and every passenger having to go through this trial and error at the till, creating 6 deep queues where there were huge arguments over the various drinks package people were on, the bar staff added to the confusion by their lack of knowledge. The ship was either unable to cope with the number of passengers or it was seriously undersaffed, creating bad tempers and confrontation through out, it was a complete nightmare, to call it Weatherspoons at see is more of an insult to Weatherspoons than Celebrity. We got off as early as we could on Saturday when we docked at Le Harve and stayed off until the last possible moment before sailing, such was the incredibly poor atmosphere onboard. The queues to get off on Sunday morning were an hour and a half or more. Early this year we sailed on the QM2 and didn't want to get off, on Celebrity we couldn't wait to get off. We were seriously mis sold by Iglu, endorsed by Celebrity incredibly unprofessional service...Never Again. Read Less
