Lovely ship but horrible music playing throughout, aimed clearly at an old crowd

Celebrity Cruises South Pacific Sydney to Sydney To put our trip report into context, this was our third cruise and the first one on Celebrity. Our previous cruises had both been with Royal Caribbean which we understand owns Celebrity as well. The RCC ships were all a bit too gimmicky for us and we hardly ever used all the facilities and rather got annoyed by all the screaming little kids and ...

Was reccommended this Line by our Travel Advisor and all I can say is Thank you, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We arrived early 11:00 hoping to maybe put our Cases on board while waiting around Sydney for our embarkation time of 4:30 and were told we could immediately embark so by 11:30 we were sitting onboard with Drink in hand. All in all a wonderful experience with great ...

I chose Celebrity Solstice having previously sailed on her I knew my daughter and son in law who were on their first cruise would love the ship.We had a partly obstructed cabin[2C] on deck 6, the only obstruction we had was 2 rows of wire fencing.Overall the cabin is good, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water, and always kept spotless by our steward. This cabin is at the rear of the ship, so a long ...

Boarding delayed due to extra cleaning from Norovirus on previous cruise. Virus on my cruise 22/10/17 and now on the news as again present on current cruise. "Extra Cleaning" however, bathroom had hair and grot around the sink and the shower had not been cleaned. My luggage was not delivered, up and down all first day looking for it, worried I didn't even have a change of clothes for 8 days...Was ...

Just back from cruise on Celebrity Solstice. Have done few other cruises including Princess but wanted to try more upmarket. 8 day cruise to Pacific isles. Did not start well. Received email morning of departure asking us to get their early as ship had gastro outbreak. Boarding a breeze but heard later boarding earlier had been chaotic because of the cleaning of ship. This ship is big with ...

This was my first ever cruise so I didn't know what to expect. The check-in process was trouble-free and the ship was in immaculate condition. I was in Aqua Class on Deck 11. My cabin was a nice size with a comfortable bathroom and it was kept spotlessly clean throughout the trip by my ever attentive stateroom attendant. I had breakfast and dinner at the Aqua Class restaurant, Blu, and I ...

We have cruised withe Celebrity Solstice before and loved it..second time on the Hawaii cruise. We felt a change in atmosphere when boarding esp in the staff. Booked a mid ship balcony room. It was filthy. Were told the ship was 100% booked. Found out from other passengers that this was not the case. They were upgraded without asking. We ended up at the rear of the ship in a wheelchair statement ...

Saw it, booked it on a whim. Looked like we might get the pampering we needed. Not disappointed. This ship is sooooo clean! Entertainment was so professional and lots of them, the crowd gave them several standing ovations which they deserved. Food in dining room was good. You could be on Weight Watchers and NOT! All there. Not large fill-up serves. You can always get extra entree salad, ...

I want d to cruise on the Solstice and when our TA offered a reunion cruise I booked. I was impressed with the Ocean View Cafe food and presentation. I went to Muranos and Silk Harvest - both outstanding. Cabin was well forward. 6112 due to late booking but excellent, a bit noisy from anchorage when tendering, but only for a brief time. We were not bothered by the theatre rehearsals as ...

We sailed on this ship 4 years ago, Hawaii to Sydney and loved the ship and experiences. This time we were so let down, the overall impression is that the ship has been downgraded in many areas. This is NOT a 5 star ship. Embarkation - on arrival we were informed that the Solstice was a "Sick Ship" so there would be a delay in boarding to allow for extra cleaning. We were put into ...
