The crew works extremely hard to make sure you have a great time, and to overcome issues you may run into. Javier, our naturalist, grew up on the Islands, and knew how to make the excursions entertaining. He was terrific. There is a great attention to safety, and you always feel like someone is there if you falter on land or sea.
Cabins are good size. I had been on the Eclipse the week ...
Visiting the Galápagos Islands has always been an dream of ours and finally we were able to make the cruise, both inner and outer loops. I am an avid (but amateur) photographer and looked forward to all the wildlife, never realizing how close we would be to beautiful sea lions, penguins, iguanas, blue footed boobies, tortoises, and more. The cruise begins with a day in Quito which ensures you ...
We chose this cruise because we heard it had scenery like you would see on a cruise to Alaska. Similar, but certainly not better. While we enjoyed each port for different reasons and the excursions offered by Celebrity were good, and one time we were an hour late getting back to the ship, but they held the ship, making it good that we used the cruiseline for excursions. We went to see the ...
We loved the ports of call,we had good weather,we packed two suite cases each. We over packed, this ship need self serve laundry facilities. A pair of jeans $7.00 and t shirts were $5.00. Adds up real fast. The ship is a Well maintained ship, the ship was Put into service in 2000, need some updating, the tile in the bath room floor is cracked and had a lot of caulk everywhere.the cabin needs ...
Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. We had sailed on Infinity before and love the size of the ship. We were in Aqua Class on Deck 11 Aft. Boarding was a breeze, there was a glitch coming from Santiago to San Antonio. We lost about 2 hours due to transportation issues with Celebrity.
We had select dining which was great for our needs. Our favorite locations on the ship, solarium, Blu ...
This cruise was from San Antonio, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and it was our second Celebrity cruise. Our first cruise on a Celebrity ship was last year (Jan 2017) from Sydney to Auckland on the Solstice where we had a Sky Suite and we liked it a lot. So we found out about this South America cruise and thought we would try it out. It ended up that we paid extra to upgrade to a Celebrity ...
The Cruise from Chile through Patagonia and up to Uruguay ending in Buenos Aires.
From start to end our room was dirty and poorly maintained - worst cruise of 15 I have ever experienced.
Issues:
1) dirty bed skirt (I didn't want to know what liquid was on it!)
2) rust and hair and dirt in bathroom floor
3) dirty shower curtain
4) dirt behind sofa
5) dirt under bed - laundry ...
Celebrity Infinity, January 7 to 21, 2018, San Antonio, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Flight
We flew Air Canada direct from Toronto to Santiago, Chile overnight on January 2nd. The flight was 5 ½ hours late leaving because of operational issues and a frozen water line. Air Canada flies 6 days a week on this route and the flight technically continues on to Buenos Aires, but all ...
We have enjoyed Celebrity Cruises in the past and we were not disappointed this time either. Staff, crew, food - especially the Martini Bar staff, all were excellent and we had a great cruise. Our cabin steward, Randy, was the best!
We also really enjoyed the South American specialist, Mickey and his Mickeylive program, he was a fountain of knowledge - really amazing and made the cruise ...
I chose this cruise for the Cruise Line, itinerary, perks, price. I loved that there was a naturalist on board that informed us daily at his seminars, but Celebrity should also narrate via TV and speaker system, as they do in Alaska, so that we can take advantage of our balcony. The Theater entertainment on board was outstanding, with each night even better than the last. The violinist was my ...
