Stunning Alaska.....fabulous weather

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

So Alaska was a bucket list cruise. The chance to revisit Vancouver and a first time visit to Seattle was too good to pass up. Everything about this itinerary was amazing and after a few spots of rain for about 30 minutes in Ketchikan, it was mostly blue skies and warmth throughout. Could not have conjured up better weather. Fantastic stay in Auberge hotel just 5 minute walk to the port in ...

This was our first Celebrity Cruise. We departed from Vancouver and there were two ships boarding. I'll bet we walked 2 miles serpentining through the terminal to finally board. Passengers for both ships were together but near the end were finally separated. This could have been real problem for someone with mobility issues. We had a balcony room, that was fine. You are able to fit your ...

Somewhat disappointing

First time on Celebrity. The Pacific coast itinerary(RT Los Angeles) was the reason we booked this cruise. Living not far from the Los Angles port allowed us to drive to the port with no need to fly. The crew members were very nice and accommodating. Captain announcements on the PA system were timely although at times were difficult to understand(heavy accent). The food at the main ...

We very much enjoyed our week-long Pacific Coastal cruise on the Solstice. We found the food to be as good as ever and the cabin was well attended and comfortable. There were many pros but also a few cons. The cons are relatively minor but I hope not indicative of some slippage of standards. These two points are quite minor, but were surprising. All week long, our king-size pillows had ...

First time on this ship and preferred to the other two Celebrity ships we were on in the past

Chose it for the itinerary. This was our first cruise in nearly 4 years due to Covid. The food was excellent but we did notice the portions are smaller. This was not a problem for us and if you want to order extra appetizers, entrees or desserts you certainly could. We had a Concierge Cabin and our steward was exceptional. Friendly, accommodating and kept our Cabin immaculate. We prefer ...

Good anniversary cruise, but food quality needs to be improved

For our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband and I cruised the California Coast on Celebrity Solstice. We viewed this as a trial cruise, our first back since the pandemic. It was our third time on Solstice after cruising the Caribbean in 2011 and Alaska in 2017. The ship is worn and would have gone to drydock already if not for the pandemic. But she is still lovely with high marks for design. ...

Nice for a Quick Get Away

This cruise was actually gifted to us so we were able to completely evaluate our trip/ship with an unbiased point of view. This ship/category is similar to that of the cruise line we remain loyal to, the service, food, amenities, shops and excursion offerings were all about the same. The ship is older so could use a little facelift, but that didn't really detract from the overall cruise ...

Celebrity Solstice Cruise - Absolutely Terrible!

I travelled with my mom on Celebrity Solstice (Los Angeles to Los Angeles) and it was our first and last time on Celebrity Cruises. What a huge disappointment! We both have been on other cruise lines such as Regent, Holland America, and Oceania and we both were very disappointed with Celebrity. My mom has been on 50+ cruises and we booked this cruise for the convenience of being able to get on ...

Awesome cruise - Great service - delicious food

We choose this particular cruise because it was local to us and we just wanted to relax and eat our way through the trip. It was everything that we had hoped for and more. We decided to book the Retreat to have a little more room and also because it included pretty much everything we wanted for the trip. We booked an aft corner suite #14** and could not have been more pleased with the location. ...

A Disappointing Return to Cruising

My husband and I are in our late-30's/mid-40's, and we have been on 10+ cruises together. Our last cruise was in December 2019. This was our first post-Covid cruise. Also, our only other Celebrity cruise was back in 2015, and it was out of the Mediterranean. This was our first time taking a Celebrity cruise out of the States. Pre-Cruise: We stayed two nights at an Airbnb in the Belmont Shore ...
