The Winner Takes it All

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

The Winner Takes it All is most appropriate for this incredible class of ship. Awesome CD, Lisa Richard sang this ABBA/.Mama Mia song at the finale show. Best CD we have experienced, not a traditional CD background, senior Manager at Toshiba, with a love for theatre, toured and played in Vegas with Mama Mia, b4 joining Celebrity (X). One of the few female CD's at sea.Captain Gerry Larsson-Fedde, ...

We arrived at the cruise port at noon. Embarkation was smooth. We were told that the main gangway had broken down and we would be entering the ship through the deck# 2 access. We brought 2 bottles of wine and a 12-pack of bottled water through security without a problem. We were onboard within 45 minutes. We went to the Oceanview Cafe [buffet] for lunch and to kill time. Our room was ready ...

From the Express Check-In to drinking a glass of champagne on board the ship took less than five minutes. All staterooms were made available at 1:30 p.m. My cabin was readied as promoted with a bottle of champagne, a bowl of fruit, and a small vase of fresh flowers. From that point onward, the cruise was everything advertised and more. Dining, activities, shore excursions, and crew attention were ...

On April 3rd of this year, after an incredebly trying six months, my wife and I happily departed on a weeks worth of R&R. On checking in to our "upgraded" cabin, we were very disappointed to find that our view was obscured by some large blue metal ( rusting) structure, with ladders, pulleys and chain railings, as well as a flotilla of life rafts. As we surveyed this scene, workers we climbing past ...

**The Cruise**This being the first time I was on a cruise, I have little to which I can compare the Celebrity Solstice; however, I can say that my cruise was one of the best vacation experiences I have ever had! My wife and I were celebrating our 10-year anniversary and wanted to try something new. To be honest, she had to talk me into a cruise, because we are active and in our mid 30's and I ...

We have been on 18 cruises, having experienced Carnival, Norwegian, Royal, Princess and Celebrity. My experiences with both Princess and Celebrity were exceptional, and relative to the other cruise lines that we have experienced, both are by-far extraordinary! Recently, we cruised on Celebrity Solstice (4/3/2001), reserving a Concierge Veranda and the experience was nothing less than wonderful! ...

A little about ourselves - I am 53 and this was my 20th cruise. My SO (significant other) or my ISO (insignificant other - depending on when you ask...) is 57 and this is his 16th cruise. This was our 2nd Celebrity cruise and we were a little concerned that this would be the senior citizen cruise (the last Celebrity we took, we were surrounded by the very elderly and those that just acted like ...

This was my second ever cruise, but, first with Celebrity (first cruise was RCI). I traveled with family that sailed Solstice previously and they highly recommended the ship so I felt safe with my decision. I traveled with my boyfiend (30's), sister and her boyfriend (40's) and my parents (60's). We visited San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.I thought the food in the main dining room was ...

Wow. Just Wow.My wife and I (mid thirties) decided that life stresses were running a little high. I have a high pressure job, and we have a 4 year old that is very demanding. We set out to find a vacation that would suit us while our son can stay with his grandparents. We started by looking into all inclusive resorts. We must have priced and researched 5-6 of them. However once the research ...

I was on the April 17 Celebrity Solstice cruise from Ft Lauderdale to the eastern Caribbean, stopping in San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maartin. It was spring break time for many of the schools in the north east (something I had overlooked). I was told by staff that there were 600 children/teens on board. My first thought was "ON NO!" There was no need to worry. Celebrity had brought on a total of ...
