We are a family of four and chose cabin 9290, which is situated on the middle hump (veranda Category 1B – free upgrade with our Captains Club from room category 1C), which had an upper berth (ie the bed that drops down from the ceiling). This was our first time in a room like this – for our previous two cruises we had chosen the rooms where the trundle under the sofa was used as the fourth option for bedding. We had heard/read much negative feedback on the upper berths so were hesitant. The upper berth is the best use of space and is way better than the pull-out trundle, especially with teenage children. You don’t even know it is in the ceiling when it is up. When it is set-up, you can still walk around the room of a night or morning when both the kids are still asleep. Picture attached to show it in the ceiling and then in position. Your room attendant lowers it when you are at dinner each night. Read Less

Based on available web site photos, for a Deluxe Oceanview Veranda cabin, I was not expecting a gold plated experience. The size of the smallish cabin was about as expected. Bed was very comfortable. The cabin did have 2 shortcomings: There an olive sized hole in middle of the leather sofa. I don't know how it could have been missed by staff. No effort to patch/repair or replace. The other quirk was a continual water leak on the veranda deck from an overhead drainage pipe. It caused drips all around our deck severely limited our ability to set comfortably in the deck chairs. Only 2 of the 8 days on board was the leak small enough to not be noticed. It did not rain during our cruise so I am not sure where the water came from. For a future cruise, I would like to consider going with several other couples and renting a cluster of cabins with a combined deck. Read Less

Loved the location of this cabin right near the elevators in the center of the ship. It was convenient to just about everything. While not huge, it served our needs. We had twin beds, a large couch, and desk area. Best part was the balcony. We enjoyed many hours sitting on the balcony. The partial blockage of the Celebrity X on the outside glass partition did not bother us at all. In fact, it made it easy for us to identify our cabin while in port and looking at the ship. The bathroom was larger than expected with a nice shower and good storage for toiletries. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap etc were of good quality and I never used the supplies I had brought with me. I would book this cabin again. Read Less
